To the Editor:Re “The Flawed Moral Logic of Sending Cluster Munitions to Ukraine” (editorial, July 11):Long may your civilized arguments, generated from your safe boardrooms, reign in the intellectual zone of a moral high ground, even as the good people of Ukraine die daily under the brutal and bloody existential terror of Russian aggression.
But in the real world of territorial aggression, defense is a reality that supersedes such hermetically crafted moral arguments.
Ukraine must be given latitude to protect and defend itself against Russian aggression.
Were Russia to invade Manhattan, it would be interesting to see if such cool moral high ground would be maintained.
