Her division was reduced as part of cost-cutting measures by Mr. Licht, who announced in October that CNN would stop buying original TV series and documentary films and that Ms. Entelis would explore developing a studio focused on long-form content. Before joining CNN, Ms. Entelis worked at ABC News for 30 years, starting as a producer and rising through various leadership roles. She was one of three executives chosen last year to lead CNN on an interim basis after the ouster of its previous chief executive, Jeff Zucker. She was promoted to that job in July 2022 by Mr. Licht after a decade at the network, which she joined as a deputy in the Washington bureau. Ms. Moseley previously worked for 18 years at ABC News, where she was a senior Washington producer for “Good Morning America.” She is married to Thomas R. Nides, the U.S. ambassador to Israel.

The Sundance Film Festival was back in person for the first time since 2020. In five days I saw eight films, and while I'm not a critic, I can affirm that not one of them was a clunker. Asked about the film's aspect ratio in an audience Q&A, Jalali said, "It was prettier that way." The bulk of the films I saw were more commercial, and four of them centered on relationships. And then there was "Cat Person," based on a 2017 New Yorker story about dating by Kristen Roupenian.

The party scene was as lively as ever, anchored by HBO Documentary Films' annual shindig at Ruth's Chris Steak House. Many experts worry that without some type of major intervention, the obstacles facing first-time homebuyers will continue to get worse for years to come.

The club won the São Paulo league championships and, in 1962 and 1963, both the Libertadores Cup and the Intercontinental Club Cup. Brazil lost in the first round at the next World Cup, in 1966, after Pelé and others suffered injuries. Pelé closed out his World Cup career netting 12 goals in 14 games and remains the only soccer player to win the trophy three times.

Former Theranos chief operating officer and president Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison Wednesday for fraud, after the unraveling of the blood-testing juggernaut prompted criminal charges in California federal court against both Balwani and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, who on Nov. 18 was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison . Sunny Balwani, former president of Theranos Inc., arrives at federal court in San Jose, California, on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022. "I am responsible for everything at Theranos," Balwani said in a message to Holmes. Balwani's sentencing in federal court marks the end of the Theranos saga, which enthralled the public and prompted documentary films and novel treatments. "Kill the old Elizabeth," Balwani purportedly told her.
