Disney parks are adding a top-tier, line-skipping upgrade with a whole new world of pricing: as much as $449 per person on top of park admission, Walt Disney Co. said Wednesday. The two existing Lightning Lane passes require holders to commit to estimated time windows for specific attractions. Tokyo Disney Resort's Premier Access passes work like the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Disney World tickets start at $119 for single-day admission and are $104 for one of the Disneyland Resort parks, according to the park websites. The Premier Pass pilot program is among Disney Parks' priciest upgrades or ticket packages.

HONG KONG (AP) — Hong Kong Disneyland opened its first Frozen-themed attraction on Monday, with thousands of eager visitors turning up to experience the new rides, some lining up for hours to get an early start. Now that Chinese tourists are venturing abroad again after the pandemic, the pandemic, the new attraction is meant to be a game changer for a theme park that has run losses for years. It entails cutting back on the content offered, selling more ads and charging higher subscription fees. The company’s ongoing efforts to trim losses and begin to make profits on its streaming business could disappoint some of the people who have enjoyed Disney+, however. “It’s critical we rationalize the volume of content we’re creating and what we’re spending to produce our content,” Iger said about the cuts to the streaming service. Iger said Disney is still learning the proper business model for streaming as it makes the transition.
