Conagra , which makes Hunt’s tomato products, attributed its most recent quarterly results to inflation-driven price increases. Conagra Brands Inc. raised its guidance for the second consecutive quarter as the food manufacturer posted a nearly 60% profit increase. For the quarter ended Feb. 26, the Chicago-based maker of Slim Jim meat sticks, Reddi-wip and Marie Callender frozen meals reported a net income of $341.7 million, up from $218.4 million in the same quarter a year prior. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected net income of $303 million.
Foot Locker Expects Sales, Profit to Fall in Coming Year

Foot Locker says its sales are likely to drop as much as 5.5%. Foot Locker Inc. forecast a year of declining sales and a 30% drop in profit as the company closes stores, exits businesses and spends more in areas such as technology and wages. The sneaker and athletic-wear retailer said the changes are part of a reset year under new Chief Executive Mary Dillon that is expected to yield higher profit and sales starting in 2024.

Kraft Heinz, maker of Kool-Aid and other products, raised prices 15.2% in 2022. Kraft Heinz Co. swung to a profit in the fourth quarter as the sliced-cheese maker offset inflation pressures with higher prices in the grocery-store aisle. The Pittsburgh-based maker of Kool-Aid and Jell-O reported net income of $890 million, or 72 cents a share, compared with a loss of $257 million, or a loss of 21 cents a share, in the same quarter ended in December 2021. Analysts expected net income of $966 million.
Kraft Heinz, maker of Kool-Aid and other products, raised prices 15.2% last year. Kraft Heinz Co. said it doesn’t plan further price increases this year, after executives said most of the food giant’s hikes for 2023 already have been put in place. The maker of sliced cheese and ketchup reported a fourth-quarter profit Wednesday after lifting prices in 2022 to offset what the company said were inflationary pressures. Kraft Heinz executives said that they expect consumers to increasingly push back against higher prices this year, while the company’s own costs continue to rise.

Some moviegoers will soon have to pay higher prices for better seats. The theater chain AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. said Monday it was rolling out a new plan that adjusts ticket prices during peak shows based on where viewers sit. Prime seats in the middle of the theater will come at a premium, while neck-craning front-row seats will cost less.
PepsiCo Inc., Uber Technologies Inc. and Walt Disney Co. are among the companies slated to report earnings in the coming week, during an earnings season marked by cooling demand and throttled profits. Investors will also hear from the food makers Kellogg Co. and Tyson Foods Inc., the healthcare companies CVS Health Corp. and AbbVie Inc., as well as the private-equity firms KKR & Co. and Apollo Global Management Inc. Other companies reporting earnings include PayPal Holdings Inc., S&P Global Inc. and Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.
