After the Eagles’ 20-16 win over the Browns, star right tackle Lane Johnson eloquently described the Eagles’ offense in a way only he could get away with. “That’s what it f—ing feels like.”It’s not like the Eagles were awful on offense in their Week 6 win over the Browns. For an offense that’s loaded with star power, that’s just not consistent enough. “We have a lot of ability, a lot of talent and we are making games more competitive than they need to be. Having Brown and Smith means that the Eagles are always seconds away from a big play and they got a few on Sunday.

Ryan Williams’ extraordinary 75-yard touchdown with just over two minutes remained was the decisive score in No. Former tennis superstar Serena Williams even jokingly remarked at how “impressive” her 17-year-old “cousin” has been doing at Alabama. “Whether Ryan ever catches a ball again for the rest of his career, he’s already entrenched himself in Alabama tradition for that play,” Kelly told CNN. It was when the pair reversed roles – Ryan Williams now catching passes – that Kelly, whose office was overlooking the practice field, realized the young athlete’s potential as a receiver. And with Saraland in need of a receiver, Kelly decided to throw Williams in, a decision which ultimately paid dividends.

Quarterbacks Jayden Daniels versus Lamar Jackson should be pure fireworks, but it's far from the only intriguing matchup this weekend. Henry has scored in all five games this season while rushing for a league-high 572 yards. Considering down and distance, Henry has rushed for 229 yards more than expected, according to advanced NFL stats. Kirk Cousins, meanwhile, is fifth in passing yards per game despite a slow start for Atlanta’s offense. The Lions are conceding 349.0 yards per game, 11th-worst in the NFL.

None of the top five fantasy players coming into the season based on average draft position is in the top 48 in fantasy scoring. (The fantasy scoring numbers here are provided by TruMedia, and the average draft position statistics were compiled by Fantasy Pros.) Aaron Jones (15.7 fantasy ppg) has been a good pick but left early Sunday with a hip injury. The only bright spot for Las Vegas is rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who is 76th in fantasy scoring (13.3). Brian Thomas Jr. is 35th in fantasy scoring (16.2 ppg), which is second-best among rookie wide receivers behind only Malik Nabers.

The Athletic NFL writers Tim Graham, Ted Nguyen and Dan Pompei share their thoughts on all of these storylines and more. Is it time to re-think the Vikings as a Super Bowl contender? Minnesota entered Sunday ranked third in points allowed and top-10 in both yards per carry and yards per pass attempt. Stroud with two interceptions and four sacks, and they’ll have the Texans’ offensive line flinching tonight in their sleep. Four-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil was flagged three times apiece for false starts and illegal formations.

The esteemed group: The Bills, Buccaneers, Chargers, Chiefs, Saints, Seahawks, Steelers, Texans and Vikings. Can Darnold continue his resurgence against a Texans defense that ranks third-stingiest in yards allowed and second in sacks through two games? Saints’ legitimacyIt seemed premature to get excited about the Saints’ 47-10 trouncing of the Panthers in Week 1, given Carolina’s issue. And is a Saints defense that has held opponents to just 14.5 points per game equally as legit? Can Dalton help stop the bleeding, or is this team as bad as it seems regardless of who starts at quarterback?

Alabama has had Super Bowl success at quarterback with the first three MVPs being Crimson Tide products, along with Super Bowl 11 winner Ken Stabler. Joe Namath won MVP for the Jets in Super Bowl 3 against the Colts without scoring or throwing for a TD. COMEBACK KIDSSan Francisco reached the Super Bowl thanks to an epic comeback against Detroit in the NFC title game. The only other comeback that big in either a Super Bowl or NFL championship game was the Patriots' rally from 28-3 down to beat Atlanta 34-28 in overtime in Super Bowl 51. That didn't stop them from becoming a dominant traveling show on the way to a fourth Super Bowl appearance in five seasons.

Yet the Philadelphia Eagles seem close to harnessing the power of certainty thanks to one play: “The Brotherly Shove.”A play on Philadelphia’s “City of Brotherly Love” nickname, the “Brotherly Shove” – also known as “The Tush Push” – has become the NFL’s most talked about play. The “Tush Push” is the Eagles’ own version of the quarterback sneak and is brought out when Philadelphia finds itself in short-yard situations. The brotherly shove has become the NFL's most talked about play. “Games are being decided by [the ‘Tush Push’] and the Eagles are winning games because of it. The formidable Eagles offensive line is always one step ahead of the opposition when it comes to the "Tush Push."

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Baker Mayfield threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns to lead the resurgent Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 32-9 wild-card playoff victory over Jalen Hurts and the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. “We’ve fought so hard to get to this point, to get a chance to be in the playoffs," Mayfield said. Philadelphia outgained the Bucs 472 yards to 174, running 78 plays to Tampa Bay’s 44 in the first meeting. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected from Sunday's against Philadelphia for putting his hand in the face of the Eagles' chief security officer. Dom DiSandro, a constant presence on the Eagles' sideline and whenever players are out in public, pulled Greenlaw off Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith after a reception. Greenlaw was ejected. DiSandro also was told to leave and walked to the locker room to a roaring ovation from Eagles fans. The game was a rematch of last season's NFC championship game, won by the Eagles.

Samuel called one Eagles cornerback “trash” and blistered Philly as his “most-hated” team in the NFL. Brock Purdy threw for 314 yards and four touchdowns, Samuel scored three TDs and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was checked for a concussion in San Francisco's 42-19 win over Philadelphia. “Talking trash, it’s part of the game,” Samuel said. Purdy put the finishing touches on the win with a 46-yard TD to Samuel. Much like in the NFC championship game, Purdy was pressured early.

November 27 - Jalen Hurts rushed for a 12-yard touchdown in overtime to lift the Philadelphia Eagles to a thrilling 37-34 win against the visiting Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. Hurts' final score capped off an incredible performance in which he passed for three touchdowns and rushed for two more for Philadelphia (10-1). Josh Allen threw two touchdowns and rushed for two scores for Buffalo (6-6). After Tyler Bass hit a 40-yard field goal to put the Bills ahead 34-31 with 5:52 to go in overtime, Hurts led the game-winning drive with his feet and his arm. He scrambled for 27 yards, including the 12-yard touchdown, and he found Smith for gains of 17 yards and 11 yards as the Buffalo defense struggled to keep pace.

Consider one in the fourth quarter, when Hurts rolled to his left and almost seemed out of options. “He made a lot of really clutch plays in that second half,” Philadelphia coach Nick Sirianni said. He zipped into the end zone from 12 yards out with 2:37 left in overtime, and the Eagles beat the Buffalo Bills 37-34 on a cold, rainy Sunday. “He's been clutch for us, clutch for this city and clutch for this team for the last three years now. Hurts played a miserable first half, throwing for 33 yards while the Eagles had 99 yards overall.

(AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles insisted that their Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs had nothing to do with revenge. After allowing the Chiefs to methodically build a 10-point halftime lead Monday night, the Eagles shut out Patrick Mahomes and Co. over the final 30 minutes. Jalen Hurts overcame a poor start in a cold, driving rain to run for a pair of touchdowns, and his go-ahead tush-push in the fourth quarter allowed the Eagles to walk away with a 21-17 victory. Plenty of time for Mahomes to get the Chiefs within range for Harrison Butker to add a 43-yard field goal. They proceeded to go 80 yards the other way, and Hurts' sneak gave Philadelphia the lead for good in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles (5-1) got one more chance to win when they got the ball back, but the defense stiffened — as it had all game. Hurts finished 28 of 45 for 280 yards and one touchdown but had three picks against a Jets defense that was missing starting cornerbacks Sauce Gardner and D.J. By rule, only the player who lost the ball could recover the forward fumble in the end zone, so it was ruled that it was the Jets' ball on the 1. The Eagles took advantage of some poor tackling by the Jets in the second quarter. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-USA TODAY SportsJan 29 (Reuters) - A pair of rushing touchdowns from Miles Sanders helped the Philadelphia Eagles to soar past the 49ers 31-7 in the NFC Championship on Sunday, after injuries hit San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy and backup Josh Johnson. "This is something you dream about as a kid," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said in televised remarks. The situation went from bad to worse for San Francisco as Purdy left the game with an elbow injury after a strip sack by Eagles' linebacker Haason Reddick in the 49ers' first possession. "This is a special city," said Hurts, 24, before leading the euphoric crowd at Lincoln Financial Field in singing the Eagles' fight song, "Fly, Eagles Fly".
