Analyst Alejandro Demichelis upgraded U.S. shares of the Latin American lithium producer to buy from hold. Demichelis said the market underappreciates SQM's low-cash cost advantage in the lithium space. "But we believe that they should put the company on a much stronger competitive footing over the coming years." SQM shares advanced more than 6% during Monday morning trading.

In a Thursday report, he called out the "explosive move from copper" and identified stocks with exposure to the metal that are breaking out of their multi-year ranges. It believes its pre-salt oil portfolio offshore Brazil gives it one of the strongest asset bases among global energy names — but shares are currently trading at a 30% discount to its peers. The market underappreciates PBR's high margin pre-salt assets & cash returns ability in an US$80/bbl oil world," analyst Alejandro Anibal Demichelis wrote in a Thursday note. Jefferies' set a $21.20 price target on shares, which implies nearly 38% upside potential from Wednesday's close. In comparison, other international oil companies have an average of 11% shareholder distribution yields and 5% dividend yields, according to Demichelis.

Nov 14 (Reuters) - Former Argentina defender Martin Demichelis will leave his role as coach of Bayern Munich's reserve team to take charge of his former side River, the German Bundesliga club said on Monday. Marcelo Gallardo is leaving River Plate after more than eight years at the Argentine club during which he won 14 titles. "Bayern and Martin Demichelis have agreed that the second-team coach will move to his former club, River Plate in Buenos Aires, at his own request, to take over as head coach," Bayern Munich said in a statement. Demichelis, 41, began his career as a centre back with River Plate in 2001 before moving to Bayern. "I came to Europe as a player from River to Bayern, now I'm going the other way as a coach," Demichelis said.
