EBITDA for the quarter fell 11.3% to 478 million euros, reflecting the impact of non-cash share-based compensation expenses of 103 million euros during the quarter. French verification startup Ondorse has raised $4 million in seed funding from Deezer and Onfido investor Eurazeo. The Paris-based company, founded in 2022, has built an array of tools to help businesses manage their know-your-customer (KYC) workflows. Ondorse effectively leverages the proficiencies of businesses in the compliance space to provide a clearer and quicker view of its processes. Ondorse has raised $4 million in seed funding just nine months after its $2.5 million pre-seed round which was also led by French fund Eurazeo with participation from tech fund ISAI. "We feel we have the right expertise to build this product given the changing regulatory landscape," Boelle said.

The music industry is set for a radical shift due in part to generative AI, according to Goldman Sachs , which described the new technology as providing "significant opportunities" for the sector. It named five buy-rated stocks to play the trend: Live Nation , Warner Music Group , French digital music company Believe , China's NetEase , and Universal Music Group . "Generative AI will super-charge music creation capabilities and improve productivity," according to Goldman's analysts in a June 28 note. The music industry is well set up to protect its intellectual property given that it is dominated by three large companies that own the majority of artists' catalogs, according to Goldman. Goldman chose Chinese internet company NetEase, which has a music streaming platform, for its use of AI in its music composition tools.

The letter, addressed to the European Union antitrust regulator's Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager, demanded the Commission to act fast for the welfare of European consumers. Spotify has for years accused Apple of abusing its market position using its App Store rules to stifle competition. "We are writing to you to call for swift and decisive action by the European Commission against anticompetitive and unfair practices by certain global digital gatekeepers, and Apple in particular," read the letter, which was signed by chief executives of media firms Schibsted, Proton and Basecamp. Gross profit increased to 45 million euros ($44.4 million) from 42 million a year earlier, while total sales rose by 12% over the period to 219 million euros, Deezer said in a statement. Deezer's number of direct subscribers in France, where it generates about 60% of its consolidated revenue, rose to 3.3 million from 3 million a year earlier. DREAMSTAGE, a ticketed live music streaming platform launched in the spring of 2020, has plans to reverse this fate and to even go as far as transforming the traditional live music business model for years to come. Now, the startup has caught the attention of the Paris-based music streaming service Deezer, which houses a catalog of 73 million tracks, including content from major record labels like Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. "Even when live concerts start again, live streaming will become a natural addition to live shows," Albrecht wrote. The live music streaming industry is expected to generate $6.4 billion by 2027, according to MIDiA Research.

Una dintre maşini nici măcar nu şi-a luat cablul de priză standard de 230 V cu ea. Au condus în tururi electrice în 2018 şi 2019, dar simt pe propria piele această diferenţă enormă. Atunci îngheţau în timp ce conduceau într-un Fiat 500e, de teama de a nu porni încălzirea rău gândită a maşinii, care tăia brusc din autonomie.
