A second former Memphis police officer is expected to change his not guilty plea on Friday in connection to alleged civil rights violations that ended in the beating death of Tyre Nichols, court documents revealed. The city of Minneapolis agreed Thursday to pay $950,000 to settle a lawsuit alleging that journalists were subjected to police harassment and even hurt while covering protests over the police killings of George Floyd.
