The third day of the Republican National Convention is focusing on foreign policy and military issues, and is featuring the first speech by Sen. JD Vance of Ohio as the running mate of former President Donald Trump.
Trump, who survived an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania over the weekend, has long expected to face President Joe Biden in November's election.
Biden has adamantly refused to drop out of the contest since his disastrous debate against Trump in late June.
As the convention was getting underway in Milwaukee Wednesday, the White House announced that Biden tested positive for Covid.
CNBC's TV and digital reporters are covering the convention live from Milwaukee, Washington, and New York City.
