The lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Orlando, accuses Character.AI of negligence, wrongful death and survivorship, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress and other claims. A screenshot of what the lawsuit describes as Setzer’s last conversation shows him writing to the bot: “I promise I will come home to you. That’s not a good reason not to go through with it,” the lawsuit claims. Character.ai said in a blog post published Tuesday that it is introducing new safety measures. Setzer had also been conversing with other chatbot characters who engaged in sexual interactions with him, according to the lawsuit.

The top-dollar item was the very thing the characters in the series vied for throughout its eight-season run: the Iron Throne. After a six-minute bidding war, the throne sold for $1.49 million. “People wanted a piece of that ‘Game of Thrones’ magic.”Beyond the coveted Iron Throne, over 30 other lots commanded six-figure price tags. Starting bids ranged from $500 to $20,000, but several items went for thousands of dollars more. Jaime Lannister’s black-leather armor ensemble fetched $275,000 and his Kingsguard armor — including his iconic Oathkeeper longsword — went for $212,500.

Brynden Rivers/Lord Bloodraven in the "House of the Dragon" season two finale. Sydow's character also doesn't have the same red birthmark on his face as Brynden does in "House of the Dragon." It's possible this could be explained in "House of the Dragon" with the idea that the Three-Eyed Raven simply managed to change his appearance over time. Shortly after, the Night King and the White Walkers assault the cave where the Three-Eyed Raven lives. It's not clear whether Brynden/the Three-Eyed Raven will suffer the same fate in Martin's future books.

Read previewWarning: Spoilers ahead for "House of the Dragon" season two, episode six. "House of the Dragon" hasn't been shy about taking some liberties with its source material. The HBO hit, based on the fictional House Targaryen history book "Fire and Blood" by "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin, made its biggest departure from the book so far back in season one when it changed the fate of Laenor Velaryon. This is a much happier ending for Laenor, but it leaves one major loose thread: his dragon, Seasmoke.

Do they shoot forward in time, stealing a page from the legendary finale of “Six Feet Under”? Maybe offer a glimpse of the future with that handsome sociopath and potential president they have put in power? While I usually have a vague idea of an ending when I start writing a play, I don’t want everything set in stone. A great ending can be about transformation, in which our central character escapes, or finds true love, or discovers a profound truth and achieves inner wisdom (as in “Mad Men,” except the profound truth was about Coca-Cola). Or it can be about justice, which rains down on those who deserve it and ruins those who don’t.
A world in three islands on the Mediterranean

CNN —In the middle of the Mediterranean Sea lies a small country made up of three inhabited islands and irresistible allure. Across its three inhabited islands – Malta, Gozo and Comino – you’ll find every sun-soaked aspect of the perfect vacation. The solution: Marsaskala, towards the southeastern tip of Malta island. Mellieħa Bay and St. Paul’s BayBugibba is a classic seaside resort town in St. Paul's Bay. The population is a modest two people, there are no cars, and no signs of globalization – just the untouched Mediterranean.
The magic of a midnight showing wasn’t just about the film but about the community created standing in line together. Some of these fan theories also fuel speculation that Swift might be queer, and in the lead-up to the album release, this conjecture culminated in debate about whether “Midnights” would be Swift’s coming out album. I study fandom and online communities, especially communities that form around fanfiction, and have seen up close that fan theories bring joy to those who engage in making them. There can be a downside to fan theories created around celebrities, of course. But for now, my For You Page has been full of excited videos from fans just enjoying Swift’s music.
(CNN) HBO has followed the majesty of "Game of Thrones" with what might be called "games of throne" in "House of the Dragon," a series whose epic visual grandeur belies a smaller and less addictive power struggle, more narrowly focused on the Targaryen line. It's not bad, and there are dragons aplenty, but it doesn't produce the sort of characters that defined and elevated its predecessor to prestige-TV royalty. Martin 's prequel "Fire & Blood," the new series has the disadvantage of being set almost two centuries before the key events in "Game of Thrones," taking place 172 years prior to the birth of Daenerys Targaryen. That ratchets up the pressure to sink or swim -- or rather, soar or sputter -- strictly on its own terms. (As an aside, all those flowing blond-white Targaryen locks should lock up a hairdressing Emmy, if nothing else.)
