A Dallas anesthesiologist was sentenced to 190 years in federal prison in a case where he was convicted of injecting drugs into IV bags, leading to at least one death. He was sentenced in federal court Wednesday to a total of 2,280 months, which the judge ordered to be served consecutively. Doctors began to suspect an issue with the IV bags in August 2022, after a 18-year-old patient’s condition became critical during a routine sinus surgery, prosecutors said. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has opened an administrative review as videos circulating online show violent interactions between deputies and fans at this weekend's University of Florida and University of Georgia rivalry football game. One video went viral after being posted by Tate Moore, a Barstool Sports employee, where two game spectators appeared to be repeatedly punched by deputies. As they speak, the camera pans to a deputy appearing to hold a stun gun a few feet away. It then sounds as if the stun gun was deployed and the man pulls the cords to the gun off him and stands up yelling. "I’m aware of several disturbing videos circulating from yesterday’s game," Deegan said.

Arizona law enforcement alleges that an 18-year-old killed his mother and tried to report her as kidnapped to cover up her death. Less than 10 minutes later, the son of Mary Collier, 38, called 911 to report her supposed kidnapping. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies quickly confirmed that the body was Collier’s. Her son who made the call was identified as the suspect in her death, the sheriff’s office said. Lt. A New Mexico teenager was charged with what appeared to be an accidental shooting of his younger sister on Tuesday morning, according to police. A 17-year-old boy and his siblings were at home in Clayton, New Mexico, getting ready for school when the boy "pointed what he thought was an unloaded handgun" at his 8-year-old sister, New Mexico State Police said. The girl was taken to a local hospital and later flown to a hospital in Texas. The teenager is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, negligent use of a deadly weapon, and tampering with evidence. It's unclear if he has retained an attorney or if he is being charged as adult.
