15 LSU has been criticized for unveiling a live caged tiger in its stadium for the first time in almost a decade before they were routed 42-13 by No. After a few minutes, the cage was slowly driven off the field at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The live tiger was rolled into Tiger Stadium in a cage. Stephen Lew/USA Today Sports/ReutersCNN has reached out to LSU, Landry and Kalmanson for comment. The Crimson Tide will host Mercer next week while the Tigers head to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators.

15 LSU its second consecutive double-digit loss Saturday night, effectively knocking the Tigers out of the College Football Playoff race with a 42-13 blowout in Baton Rouge. When Milroe plays how he did on Saturday — confident, decisive, efficient — Alabama is incredibly hard to defend. — Kennington Smith IIISEC race remains jumbledThe simplest immediate consequence of Saturday night’s blowout in Death Valley is that LSU’s SEC championship hopes have taken a major hit with the Tigers’ second SEC loss, while Alabama’s aspirations remain alive. AdvertisementBut it’s also easy to see a scenario where six teams tie for second with two SEC losses: LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee and the loser of Texas/Texas A&M. Back in September, South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers ran for 88 yards and two scores in a game LSU was lucky to escape unscathed.

This week, the numbers are screaming to go with Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, one of eight quarterbacks averaging more than 300 passing yards a game. This week, I’m riding with Sampson to lead all rushers in yards because he’s facing a Mississippi State defense that’s ranked 124th against the run. Dart’s 515 passing yards and six TDs last week against Arkansas, with a breakout performance from Jordan Watkins, provide more reason for me to stick with my midseason prediction. AdvertisementWeek 10 report cardAs mentioned before, my big victory last week was predicting Dart would lead all QBs in passing yards. I had Clemson covering a 10.5-point spread against Louisville with Cade Klubnik (250-plus passing yards, two TDs) and Phil Mafah (100-plus rushing yards, two TDs) doing work.

A few possessions later, Tennessee sealed the win with a Will Brooks interception of Jalen Milroe with 1:24 to play. Though the Tide won last year in Tuscaloosa, Saturday marked Tennessee’s second consecutive win against Alabama at Neyland Stadium, something that hadn’t happened since 2004 and 2006. The Vols jumped to 56 percent after the win, and the Tide fell to 53 percent, according to The Athletic’s Austin Mock. A loss to Tennessee coupled with the loss to Vanderbilt and a lackluster win against South Carolina puts Alabama in a simple but challenging position: win out or bust. Four Tennessee drives reached Alabama territory in the first half Saturday, but the Volunteers failed to score on any of them.

More specifically to Alabama, the chaotic last few weeks beg this question: What’s the bigger issue — coaching or player execution? The final minute of the first half against South Carolina shows plenty of room for both sides to take accountability. AdvertisementMomentum was slipping away after a South Carolina touchdown and safety cut a comfortable 14-0 Crimson Tide lead to 14-9. This week’s Alabama film study dives into the highs and lows against South Carolina and weighs the impact of coaching decisions versus player execution. Against South Carolina, it blitzed 26.8 percent of the time, contributing to a 48.8 percent pressure rate on dropbacks.

Ryan Williams’ extraordinary 75-yard touchdown with just over two minutes remained was the decisive score in No. Former tennis superstar Serena Williams even jokingly remarked at how “impressive” her 17-year-old “cousin” has been doing at Alabama. “Whether Ryan ever catches a ball again for the rest of his career, he’s already entrenched himself in Alabama tradition for that play,” Kelly told CNN. It was when the pair reversed roles – Ryan Williams now catching passes – that Kelly, whose office was overlooking the practice field, realized the young athlete’s potential as a receiver. And with Saraland in need of a receiver, Kelly decided to throw Williams in, a decision which ultimately paid dividends.

It marked the Commodores’ first-ever win over an AP top-five team and just the fourth time Alabama has lost as a No. — Joe RexrodeAlabama isn’t in as much CFP trouble as it may seemThe CFP margin for error has shrunk, of course, for an Alabama team that still has challenging road games against Tennessee, LSU and Oklahoma ahead. Despite a near-even margin in total yards (Vanderbilt 186, Alabama 159), the Commodores controlled the game by converting third downs — 7-of-10 in the first half. Williams’ magic isn’t enoughWhen Alabama needed a big play it called on its 17-year-old phenom Ryan Williams — and he delivered. Then, faced with a fourth-and-goal and trailing 40-28, Williams’ 2-yard touchdown run put Alabama back within one possession.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe didn’t throw an incompletion until there were just under four minutes left in the second quarter. To this point it’s been Georgia, Texas, Ohio State and everyone else. Backs against the wall, Alabama turned to Milroe and Ryan Williams, whose immediate answer will go down as a legendary moment. CNN —When former President Donald Trump looks up from his seat in Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday night during the Alabama-Georgia football game, he may see more than just 100,000 fans watching a high-stakes college football showdown. That’s because Vice President Kamala Harris plans to troll her opponent over his refusal to debate her for a second time — from the skies. The Harris campaign will also air a national ad during one of the most highly anticipated games of college football where she calls on the former president to meet her on the debate stage one more time. Despite what he’s said publicly, Trump has privately flirted with the idea of meeting Harris on the debate stage one more time, sources tell CNN. A second meeting could serve Harris as well.

Washington has targeted Arizona's Jedd Fisch and is negotiating a deal with him to succeed Kalen DeBoer as the next coach of the Huskies, according to a person with knowledge of the talks. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Arizona and Fisch were not making any public announcements yet. Less than a week after playing for the national championship, the Huskies moved quickly to fill the vacancy created when DeBoer left for Alabama.
