Senate Democrats pushed forward on a subpoena of Harlan Crow. The GOP megadonor has been at the center of ethics concerns regarding Justice Clarence Thomas. Republican senators previously filed 177 amendments to the subpoena authorization, including a subpoena of Jeffrey Epstein's estate for his private flight logs. Crow has been in the news for months related to his friendship to Justice Clarence Thomas. ProPublica uncovered numerous trips and gifts Crow lavished on the justice and his family, which Thomas often did not list on his financial disclosure.

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried had his bail revoked on Friday over alleged witness tampering. The crypto tycoon will now have to report to jail. Sam Bankman-Fried had his bail revoked by a federal judge on Friday over his alleged tampering with witnesses in his fraud case. US District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan said the embattled crypto tycoon who co-founded FTX could no longer be held under house arrest at his parent's home. "Nonviolent witness tampering and obstruction poses a danger to the community and the risk of such activities would support pretrial detention," Judge Kaplan said at a hearing on Friday, according to Courthouse News' Josh Russell.

People don't think the Supreme Court represents them well, a Morning Consult/Insider poll found. 70% or more of each age group also said Supreme Court justices should have term limits. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan warned about the court's standing with the American populace at an event in September. Term limits for Supreme Court justices is an idea that also appeals to members of both parties, the survey found. Despite the nation's wish for term limits on Supreme Court justices, it's unlikely to happen anytime soon.
