The surgeon general’s 837-page report on tobacco use found that 37.8% of gay, lesbian and bisexual U.S. adults have tried electronic cigarettes, compared with just 16.5% of their straight counterparts. He said that LGBTQ people use tobacco products at higher rates largely because of “long-standing stigma” within health care settings. Still, 36 million U.S. adults and 760,000 middle and high school students smoke tobacco products, according to the report. WASHINGTON — Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., said Tuesday that her effort to ban transgender women from using female bathrooms at the U.S. Capitol is a direct response to the election of Sarah McBride, who is set to be the first openly transgender person in Congress. Fundamental outlook The analyst community is looking for Nvidia to report 75 cents in EPS on $33.13 billion in revenue, according to FactSet. Nvidia charts The prior quarter's growth rates are coming down from astronomical levels of multiple hundreds of percentage points. As a result Nvidia sold off on Aug 28 from around the $130 level all the way down to $101.50. CNN —In the first quarter of this year, the price of bitcoin broke records in the wake of approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission for the first exchange-traded spot bitcoin funds. But in the past few years, education about crypto assets has been made more available to professionals. While it’s called a currency — and in some instances can be used like money — bitcoin is not legal tender in the United States or most other countries. He advises his clients who insist on exposure to limit their portfolio allocation to bitcoin to no more than 5%. Future growth will have to come from Blackwell, its next-generation chip that has just started shipping to end-users such as Microsoft , Google and OpenAI. More important than Nvidia's third-quarter results will be what the company says about demand for the Blackwell chip. In August, Nvidia said it expected about "several billion" in Blackwell sales during the January quarter. Nvidia reported 122% growth in sales in the most-recent quarter. That was lower than the 262% year-over-year growth it reported in the April quarter and the 265% growth in the January quarter.

On Tuesday, Walmart announced its fiscal third quarter results as the retail giant promotes its ongoing Black Friday and Cyber Monday holiday shopping events next week. Additionally, Walmart reported earnings per share of 58 cents, adjusted, compared with the 53 cents analysts' predicted. Notably, the company appears to be optimistic heading into the holiday spending season and says Walmart customers have been purchasing more general merchandise outside of groceries. "In the U.S., in-store volumes grew, pickup from store grew faster, and delivery from store grew even faster than that," Doug McMillon, Walmart president and CEO, said in a Nov. 19 press release. "Our teams are executing and delighting our customers and members with the value and convenience they expect from Walmart."
