For many woman of color, particularly those who have run for office and been in the political spotlight, it’s a familiar challenge. In interviews and convention speeches, Black women leaders said the Harris campaign should continue to avoid engaging directly with personal attacks. This is another attempt by the media and the Harris campaign to deflect from Kamala Harris’ lack of having a complete policy agenda for the American people.”The Harris campaign has chosen not to engage. Gholar pointed to Harris’ campaign as an example. “She’s staying focused, she’s hitting back as needed, but she’s been extremely measured,” Stewart-Cousins said.

"Our research reveals that emails are a major source of workplace stress," says Esteban Touma, a cultural and linguistics expert at Babbel. As a language expert, Touma tells CNBC Make It he often sees people make two big mistakes when writing over email. Typos and grammatical errorsThe first big mistake Touma often sees is when people neglect to proofread and edit messages thoroughly. To avoid this mistake, take the time to proofread emails before you hit send, Touma says. For example, Touma says, "'Let's schedule a call when you have some time to kill, Brian' is politely addressing Brian.

While some optimists focus on AI's benefits in education, others fear that using AI in classrooms could catalyze cheating and misinformation. This is where AI literacy can be useful. Created within the Stanford Graduate School of Education, CRAFT is a collaborative effort of Stanford education researchers, software developers, and curriculum developers. Lee also told BI that AI literacy in classrooms "should involve recognition of where AI can be effective and where it requires extra vigilance." He said the school also hopes to grow CRAFT's teacher codesign fellowship through which fellows develop AI literacy lessons.

That goes for MBAs as much as MFAs, and it’s a lesson Lyft executives learned the hard way on Tuesday, when an errant zero sent its stock (briefly) to the stratosphere. The Lyft typo came in an earnings report that stated, incorrectly, that the company’s estimated gross margin would expand by 500 basis points, which would amount to a stunning five-percentage-point bump. The stock shot up more than 60% before Lyft’s CFO corrected the error on a call with analysts, bringing the stock back to Earth. With the error in the rear view, Lyft shares were up up 30% Wednesday, bolstered by stronger-than-expected earnings and a rosy outlook for future cash flows. “Look, it was a bad error, and that’s on me,” Lyft CEO David Risher told CNBC on Wednesday.

During the first spring of the pandemic, my two daughters and I taught ourselves to rescue frogs. On our daily walks along a riverbank in rural North Carolina, we often came across the stirring of young life. Transparent strings of tadpole eggs and wriggling green tadpoles lay in murky puddles that would soon dry up in the sun. It’s a reminder to look at our immediate environment, our close neighbors and community spaces, and to take action from there. Eventually, I realized that my most significant impact would be on the political races closest to home.

BANGKOK, July 18 (Reuters) - Thai prime ministerial candidate Pita Limjaroenrat on Tuesday said he was willing to slow the pace of his party's ambitious reform agenda if he forms a government but would not retreat from its plan to amend a law prohibiting royal insults. But the sentiment of the era has changed," he said in the interview. "I'm still sticking to what I promised the voters ... the institution is above politics. He added: "I cannot look them in the eye if I'm walking away from this issue." The military has for decades invoked its duty to defend the monarchy to justify intervention in politics, and used the law against royal insult to stifle dissent, critics say.
