Colin Farrell pushed his friend Emma Fogarty, who lives with a rare skin condition, the final 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) of the Irish Life Dublin Marathon in her wheelchair on Sunday. Photos from the race show the “Penguin” actor beaming while pushing a cheering Fogarty with her arms in the air. She and Farrell originally hoped to raise €400,000 ($430,000) for DEBRA, but now aim to reach a million euros. Farrell and Fogarty appeared on Ireland’s “The Late Late Show” earlier this month, where the Oscar-nominated actor said he was pushing Fogarty 1 kilometer for every decade of her life, or 4 kilometers in total. Farrell completed the entire course in just over 4 hours, according to Sky News.

CNN —Colin Farrell took time out from his acting schedule on Sunday to complete the Dublin Marathon – while pushing an old friend in a wheelchair. CNN —Harley Quinn and the Penguin are no match for the ridiculous cuteness of one teeny tiny micro chihuahua named Pilaf. After Farrell said he wanted to “take a selfie with it,” the “G.I. Jane” star talked about how Pilaf recently had her very own cover shoot for Dogue (yes, that’s Vogue for dogs, folks) and said, “I knew that she had moved into a whole new category when my publicist got a call just for Pilaf.”Moore then brought the dog – full name Pilaf the Little Mouse – out on stage, where she immediately went up to host Norton for petting. Soon, Moore handed Pilaf off to Gaga, who observed that “she’s so little… and weird!” (but clearly meant it affectionately). After Moore talked about how the dog didn’t have a full set of teeth and had to lose some – “hence why the tongue does not stay in” – Gaga stated simply, “She’s perfect.”Truer words were never spoken.

Colin Farrell looks completely different in "The Penguin" — and that's putting it lightly. Farrell told BI that it was an "utter relief" to remove the character's makeup each night. Surprise: Idris ElbaThe lead acting categories were virtually surprise free, which makes sense when you consider that the comedy series and drama series categories were even more surprise free. The one really unexpected nomination was for Elba’s performance as a professional negotiator trying to get a hijacked airliner safely to the ground in the surprisingly popular Apple TV+ potboiler “Hijack.” Never bet against Stringer Bell. (Performers who were thought to have a better chance included Cosmo Jarvis for “Shogun” and Colin Farrell for “Sugar.”)Snub: Kelsey GrammerIf there were a category for Lead Actor in a Comedy Rebooted After 20 Years, Grammer would have been a shoo-in for “Frasier” on Paramount+. HBO's Casey Bloys revealed his content strategy on "The Watch" podcast and in a talk with Parrot Analytics. Bloys also shared what's ahead for HBO Max once it combines with Warner Bros. Despite economic pressures on streaming, he's not worried that HBO content will suffer. "Euphoria" is second only to "Game of Thrones" in most-viewed HBO shows, but Bloys was hesitant at first to develop its hit 2022 prequel "House of the Dragon," he told "The Watch." And he pointed to more Batman spinoffs like "The Penguin" that's coming to HBO Max and will star Colin Farrell.
The movie starring Michelle Yeoh as an exasperated laundry owner trying to finish her taxes is the favorite to take best film ensemble at the SAG awards, according to experts polled by the Gold Derby website. If the movie wins big, that would give it a boost on the way to the Academy Awards on March 12. SAG winners are chosen by members of the SAG-AFTRA acting union, and actors make up the largest group of voters for the Oscars. In television categories, "Better Call Saul," "The Crown," "Ozark," "Severance" and "The White Lotus" will compete for best drama cast. TV comedy nominees for best cast are "Abbott Elementary," "Barry," "The Bear," "Hacks" and "Only Murders in the Building."

REUTERS/Mario AnzuoniLOS ANGELES, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Hollywood's film academy will announce this year's Oscar nominees early on Tuesday, a field expected to range from biopic "Elvis" to dark comedy "The Banshees of Inisherin" and multiverse adventure "Everything Everywhere All at Once." The Oscars and other entertainment awards shows have been struggling to attract TV viewers, particularly younger ones who spend time on TikTok and YouTube. Last year's Academy Awards show, when Will Smith slapped presenter Chris Rock before winning best actor, drew about 15.4 million TV viewers, the second-smallest audience ever. The Gold Derby website, which monitors Hollywood's awards races, gives "Everything Everywhere" the best odds at the moment to ultimately win best picture. The movie stars Michelle Yeoh in a dimension-hopping action film about an exhausted woman trying to finish her taxes.

REUTERS/Mario AnzuoniDUBLIN, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Ireland celebrated a record 14 Oscar nominations on Tuesday, scooping five of the 20 acting spots up for grabs and for the first time earning a nod for a feature film made in the native Irish language. "Congratulations to all the Irish Oscar nominations. Ireland was also well represented in the craft categories, including best visual effects and editing while former winner Martin McDonagh added to his growing Oscar CV with best director and best original screenplay nods for "Banshees." "There was perhaps a notion out there that to make a film in the Irish language was a dead end creatively or commercially. "There's no reason that Irish language filmmakers should limit their ambitions, they should be making films for the world."
