Nicolas Tucat/AFP/Getty ImagesUkraine is hoping to make 2025 “the year of peace,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an address to the European Parliament held to mark the 1,000th day of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“Ukraine deserves to make the next year the year of peace,” Zelensky said in a video call to lawmakers in Strasbourg, France.
“Ukrainian people have endured 1,000 days of this war,” he said in a later post on social media.
We must do everything to end this war fairly and justly,” he said.
