The singer talked to Vulture about the life and death of her best friend and bandmate, Christine McVie, who died in November 2022 at the age of 79 following a brief illness. “But when Christine died, I felt like you can’t replace her,” Nicks said. “When she died, I figured we really can’t go any further with this. The singer-songwriter and pianist passed away at a hospital following a short illness, according to a statement on behalf of her family posted on her Twitter account.
