☆ Millennial and Gen Z women feel ageism most, report finds: 'My decisions were always questioned'

Chatterton, 27, recalls one of her first jobs after graduating college, as a marketing operations role at a small tech startup in Chicago, Illinois. Conventional wisdom holds that older women have the most to contend with in regards to ageism, or unfair treatment based on a person's age. However, new research from LeanIn and McKinsey & Co. suggests that younger women are more susceptible to ageism in the workplace than their older colleagues. Ageism impacts older employees at fairly similar rates for women and men. Yet women in their 20s and 30s report much higher instances of ageism than older women and their young, male colleagues.

In “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” he is brooding, combative and ambitious, sure — but we are equally encouraged to root for him. Despite Dietrich’s protestations, the creators of “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” seem to side with their muse. Parisian fashion in the 1970s was, “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” suggests, a scene broadly gatekept by a handful of squabbling men. "Becoming Karl Lagerfeld" intends to plunge the viewer into the heart of 1970s Paris, Monaco and Rome, to "follow the formidable blossoming of this complex and iconic personality," say the show notes. “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” is, stylistically, a luxurious tribute to ‘70s flair: gorgeous to look at and offering an aggressively humanized look at some of fashion’s biggest names.

This is the opening scene from “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”, which first screened at Cannes Film Festival 30 years ago this month. In the film, Tick (Hugo Weaving) and Bernadette (Terence Stamp) help Adam (Guy Pearce) realize his dream of climbing King Canyon in full drag. “I think that’s definitely one of the most iconic looks,” drag artist and costumer Philmah Bocks told CNN. Bocks has been designing costumes for 30 years, having broken into the drag scene around the same time “Priscilla” was hitting screens. The film’s legacy can also be seen in Australia’s drag scene today and, since 2021, has been broadcast to new audiences via contestants on “Rupaul’s Drag Race Down Under”.

“More world leaders have sat on that box than any chair in history,” the photographer Platon, owner of that very box, told CNN in an interview conducted over Zoom. One of the girls that Platon photographed there was Esther Faraja. Vladimir Putin, photographed by Platon for Time’s Person of the Year in 2007, initially liked the image that Platon produced. Platon photographed Burmese politician and activist Aung San Suu Kyi in 2010, shortly after she was released from nearly 15 years of house arrest. Last week, the company, McMahon and a former WWE executive were sued by a former employee alleging those crimes. McMahon has also discussed being under federal investigation and having a phone seized by federal officials, a senior-level WWE executive and another personal friend told NBC News. Representatives for McMahon, TKO Group and WWE did not immediately respond Friday to requests for comment on the federal investigation. McMahon is no stranger to allegations of sexual assault — and has survived several during his reign at the company. McMahon also faced federal conspiracy charges alleging orchestrated steroid use among WWE wrestlers, and he was found not guilty by a jury in 1994.

Vince McMahon , the executive chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., has agreed to a multimillion-dollar legal settlement with a former wrestling referee who accused him of raping her in 1986, according to people familiar with the agreement. WSJ reported a new accusation from a former spa manager, who claimed McMahon assaulted her. WWE did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider on McMahon's reported desire to make a comeback and the newly reported allegation from the spa manager. McMahon retired from WWE in July amid an investigation by the company's board into alleged payments made to other women who had accused McMahon of misconduct.
