With the election around the corner, JPMorgan has updated its top ideas list that target growth, income, value and short-selling strategies. Yet, JPMorgan thinks that trajectory can keep going, as it has an overweight rating on the stock with a $300 price target. JPMorgan's overweight rating and target of $1,100 on the name also implies more than 34% upside from here. JPMorgan also highlighted the newly added Regency Centers as one of its growth strategies for the new trading month. Shares have jumped more than 7% this year, and JPMorgan's target implies almost 8% upside from Friday's close, on par with its average target of $77.12.

Carvana on Wednesday raised its 2024 earnings guidance after the online used-car retailer significantly topped Wall Street's third-quarter expectations. For 2024 guidance, Carvana said its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization would be "significantly above the high end" of its previous target of $1 billion to $1.2 billion. The company reported $339 million in adjusted EBITDA last year. Adjusted EBITDA was $429 million and adjusted EBITDA margin was 11.7%, both topping company records achieved during the second quarter. The company's third-quarter 2023 results included adjusted EBITDA of $148 million and revenue of $2.77 billion.

Less than two years after the online used car retailer's ballooning debt and shrinking sales nearly forced the company into bankruptcy, Carvana is on the road to recovery. Shares of Carvana jumped as much as 14% during after-hours trading Wednesday as the company topped Wall Street's expectations for the second quarter and disclosed expectations for record adjusted earnings of at least $1 billion for 2024. The company's previous guidance for the year included a "sequential increase in adjusted EBITDA" for the second half of the year, but did not supply a dollar amount. If Carvana meets its 2024 earnings target, it would mark the company's third annual EDBITDA profit, including 2023's record of $339 million. Adjusted EBITDA was $355 million and adjusted EBITDA margin was 10.4%, both company records. The second-quarter results continue a massive turnaround for Carvana following Wall Street fears of bankruptcy for the company in early 2022.
