In her first interview since her husband announced his candidacy, Ms. Hines initially appeared at ease.
She has done hundreds of interviews throughout her career, and as a seasoned improv actress, is known to be quick on her feet and sharply funny.
In some ways, answering questions from a stranger is just another form of: “Yes, and.” With improv, “it’s challenging because you don’t know what’s coming next.
You don’t know what the audience is going to shout out,” she said.
