"Heretic," the newest horror movie from indie studio A24, doesn't use any generative AI. AdvertisementA24's new horror movie "Heretic" is a terrifying rumination on faith and belief. But the duo still chose to include a disclaimer in their film's end credits stating that no generative AI was used to make their movie. They're specifically talking about generative AI, in which the technology creates new images, videos, or text content. "'Heretic' is very much a personal movie," Beck said.

The major cloud service providers are saying their customers are winding down last year's optimization efforts. While the optimization outlook from the cloud service providers is rosy, it doesn't quite match what customers are reporting. Google Cloud revenue grew 26% year-over-year, up from the quarter before. Customers and cloud companies tell a different storyExecutives at all three major cloud companies said that the impact of cloud cost-cutting was behind them. 35% reported cloud cost overruns in the last 12 months, nearly half of which were over $100,000 or $500,000.

The money management giant is looking for a new Washington, DC-based head of US government affairs and public policy as well as a new head of state government affairs, wrote John Kelly, BlackRock's global head of corporate affairs, in a previously unreported company memo last week. The overhaul, which includes reshuffling positions and a renamed government affairs and public policy group, reflects the tremendous pressure BlackRock is under in the public eye. Reshaping the key policy groupA string of roles in the public policy group are changing to meet this new reality. The firm's public policy group has about 40 people, some 25 of whom are on Cound's team focused on international policy. Novick launched the firm's public policy efforts in 2009.

Post-adventure, go for the summer version of après-ski at a trio of spots around Mountain Village. Telluride Brewing Company pours its refreshing I.P.A.s and other ales at a brewpub in the Hotel Madeline building (the brewery’s original tap room just west of Telluride remains a hub for locals who stream in after biking and kayaking.) Where to StayThe Telluride area has no shortage of luxe hotels, with the biggest concentration in Mountain Village. On the west side of town, the Hotel Telluride (rooms from $369) is a reliable option, with friendly service and a relaxed vibe. If you have a car and a limited budget, consider the Bivvi Hostel Telluride, open since 2020 in Placerville, about 16 miles down the valley.
