Examples of Facebook users sharing the photo as if it were authentic can be seen (here) and (here). The original version is credited to Reuters photographer Bryan Snyder and shows Chris Christie speaking at a campaign rally alongside then Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Exeter, New Hampshire. The misleading image has been shared days before Christie is expected to officially launch his campaign for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination (here), (here). A Reuters picture of Christie at a 2012 campaign rally has been edited to depict him as larger than in the original photo.
