New York CNN —Cooking a Thanksgiving turkey presents a host of unique challenges, including making sure it’s not dry, and making sure it’s delicious. But thawing out a multi-pound frozen bird is the first big one. Butterball has a solution with a new frozen turkey that the company says eliminates the hours-long thawing process. This week, the country’s largest turkey producer unveiled a new “Cook from Frozen” turkey that only has two steps to make it, which are unwrapping it and popping it in the oven. Butterball made a “specially formulated” brine that keeps the meat moist during the roughly 5-hour long roasting process.

Life is too short to eat dry meat, so try brining. Brining creates flavorful, juicy proteins. Svittlana/ShutterstockYou've probably heard of brining, which rose to popularity in the early 2000s and involves soaking a turkey in gallons of salt water. Once I switched to dry brining, I never looked back. Just fill a lidded bowl with your brine mixture and soak the chicken in it for at least 30 minutes.

But while fundamental factors around these names are supportive of their multiples, the market isn't in the all-clear zone, according to Charles Schwab chief investment strategist Liz Ann Sonders. "AI and its enthusiasm — I think that's very legitimate," Sonders told CNBC's " Squawk on the Street " on Monday. "At this stage in the game, the trajectory of earnings, you could argue, is supportive of valuations." In contrast to the dot-com bubble, the current AI rally has much stronger fundamental factors correlated to momentum, Sonders said. "You're looking at the party of stocks and what they're doing, or just what the index is doing courtesy of a very small number of stocks," Sonders said.

Dredging the chicken involved dipping it in an egg mixture and the flour mixture. Lucien Formichella for InsiderThe dredging process went well, though I definitely should've made more. It was relaxing to drop the chicken into the flour mixture, then the eggs, then back in the flour. Lucien Formichella for InsiderAfter putting the chicken in the air fryer, I genuinely wondered how the tenders would turn out because Popeyes chicken has such a distinct flavor. I left the second precisely as it came out of the bowl, figuring more of the flour mixture would stick to it.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A GOP legislative effort to prevent Virginia children from using the popular video-sharing app TikTok — an idea backed by Republican Gov. Jay Leftwich of Chesapeake, was left in a House of Delegates committee after concerns were raised about how the ban would be enforced. Leftwich also said he brought the bill out of mental health and data privacy concerns for young people. “But I will not be supporting this bill because I think it’s unfair to single out TikTok,” she said. “We’ve long said bans, like the one proposed in this legislation, are not only the wrong approach, but also raise significant First Amendment concerns," Brown said.

The time-consuming baked-potato recipe from celebrity chef Guy Fieri is worth the wait. AdvertisementWhile the potatoes baked, I whipped up a horseradish sour creamThe topping was very easy to make. Paige BennettFieri serves the potatoes with a quick horseradish sour cream, which consists of horseradish (I used store-bought), sour cream, salt, and black pepper. AdvertisementI topped the spud with a generous amount of the horseradish sour cream and quickly devoured it. But I enjoyed a few bites of it paired with the horseradish sour cream, which balanced out all the salt.

Property website Rightmove said average asking prices of homes coming onto the market declined by 0.2% last month, compared with the 0% norm for this time of the year. Tim Bannister, director of property science at Rightmove, said stubborn inflation and further mortgage rate rises contributed to the fall in prices and number of agreed sales. "The interest-rate brakes being applied more strongly to slow the economy are now beginning to bite in the housing market," Bannister said. The central bank increased its Bank Rate by more than expected to 5% in June, pushing up the cost of mortgage borrowing. Average two-year fixed mortgage rates reached a 15-year high last week.

J. Kenji López-Alt went full Kenji recently and dove deep into the process of dry-brining salmon to achieve firmer, juicier, less albumin-stained cooked fillets. Which means if I can get to the store early today, I can make Ali Slagle’s new recipe for teriyaki salmon or my old one for pan-roasted salmon with jalapeño (above) this evening, and eat it with steamed rice and Mark Bittman’s salad of asparagus ribbons tossed in sesame oil and rice vinegar. As for the rest of the week. “Just made this and mid-meal felt the urgent need to come here and rave about it,” one subscriber noted on the recipe. “Super easy and super quick to make!”
