AdvertisementWe let Costco handle Thanksgiving dinner by ordering a premade meal from the warehouse chain's site. Our delicious dinner required little work to reheat, giving us more time to spend with family. I love the holiday season and all the delicious food it brings — so much so that I've even cooked an entire Thanksgiving from Ina Garten recipes. The $230 Thanksgiving dinner, provided by food distribution company Fortune Fish and Gourmet, was $50 off for Costco members when I preordered, making it just $180. AdvertisementHere's what it was like to let Costco handle our early Thanksgiving dinner, which we planned for when my mother-in-law would be in town.

AdvertisementI moved from the US to Canada for my husband's job and family. If we had stayed in the US, we could have never afforded the surrogacy for our second child. Much like my first date with my now husband, I immediately connected with our potential surrogate upon our first meeting. I met her husband and their three amazing kids, and by the following day, we were discussing the next steps. But living in Canada gave me the chance to grow our family, something we could've never afforded had we stayed in the US.

Bischof and other longevity medicine practitioners say the trend toward overdoing it has been supercharged in recent years by more aggressive and flashy online marketing of longevity supplements. Overdoing supplements can hurt your healthMore isn't always more when it comes to taking supplements Strauss/Curtis/Getty ImagesIn the past, patients typically hadn't invested in healthy aging supplements on their own. Eventually, Bischof was able to convince the patient to stop taking his longevity supplements. AdvertisementDietician Naras Lapsys, chief clinical officer at Chi Longevity, a private clinic in Singapore, says many people are piling these newer pills on top of older, popular longevity supplements. For patients who are excited about longevity supplements, Bischof recommends cycling them, taking one for a few months, and then pausing instead of taking them continuously throughout the year.

We've made Thanksgiving dinner for decades. We'd never considered ordering our holiday meal from a restaurant, but last year, we decided to try Cracker Barrel's "heat n' serve" family dinner . For $130, I ordered a turkey-breast dinner designed to serve four to six people (plus a few extras) to pick up the morning before Thanksgiving. The question is how worried should people be about these endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), such as phthalates, BPA or bisphenol A, and brominated flame retardants? Endocrine-disrupting chemicals are not produced by the human body but influence the way your hormones function, Bloom said. CNN reached out to the National Pest Management Association and the Personal Care Products Council for comment. Gradually replacing personal care products one at a time as you use up individual products is a great place to start, she said. “But personal care products is one thing where I think folks have a lot of autonomy and what they’re purchasing within reason.”
