Players for Bishop Sycamore Photo: HBOOn Aug. 29, 2021, Florida-based IMG Academy, perhaps the most feared football factory in the Wild West of sports-centered prep schools, played a nationally televised Hall of Fame Stadium game in Canton, Ohio. Its opponents were the Bishop Sycamore Centurions, in a contest so lopsided the ESPN announcers were openly concerned about the health and safety of the inept underdogs (who lost 58-0). As we learn in “BS High,” there were several reasons for the game being such a blowout. Chief among them: Bishop Sycamore didn’t really exist.
