CNN —For all the scary reports about how social media is ruining everyone’s mental health, my feed is usually a pretty good place to be. Try opening your social media accounts with some idea of what you are looking for. “It is important to recognize that polarizing social media content or clickbait is intended to increase social media use and trigger feelings like anger and frustration.

In 2019 I ran a fitness empire and had one million Instagram followers. I started to interrogate the message I was sendingWhen Giorgetta started reflecting on her posts, she felt guilty about what she had said. I use it as a way to get clients, connect with my community, and share educational content about nutrition and fitness.

Mike Huckabee's lawsuit over his bogus CBD gummies ads on Facebook is an exception. Are ‘manfluencers’ raising our sons?
  + stars: | 2024-10-09 | by ( Shannon Carpenter | ) edition.cnn.com   time to read: +8 min
I realize that this old dad is not the hippest, but I thought I’d always kept an eye on the media my sons consume. On the surface, it seems easy to pinpoint what attracts our young men to manfluencers. That is the true draw to our young men, a place where they are the elite and above others. Since teenagers can be hard to meet head-on, try connecting with sons by praising them to others and through communication. We can lead our sons past the false trappings of fancy cars and money, and the cruelty perpetuated by these manfluencers.

London-based photographer Caroline Furneaux was confronted with these questions after sifting through boxes of her father’s 35mm slides in the years following his sudden death in his 70s. It was a precious collection because his stepmother had burned all the family photos and other ephemera from the past, Furneaux told CNN. Teaching kids about appropriate contentIt’s also important for parents to pay attention to the content their kids are posting on social media, Akerman said. Then she realized that the photos had been reposted on another social media platform — on an account she said seemed to be used for trafficking girls. The ability for sexual predators to connect with kids on social media poses a serious danger.

Nike's design for the US women's team outfit, right, is seen in an image posted to X by @CitiusMag. The controversy follows a headline-making protest at the 2020 Tokyo Games, when the German women’s gymnastics team rejected bikini-cut unitards in favor of fuller coverage, in a statement against “sexualization in gymnastics,” the German Gymnastics Federation said at the time. Function and styleOn the Olympic track, there aren’t many regulations when it comes to what athletes can wear. Listening to the album's lead single, "Woman's World," I have to assume it's a portal to the past. In the music video for "Woman's World," Perry's visuals are clearly meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Five people are credited as songwriters for "What Makes a Woman," but none overlap with the six writers credited for "Woman's World." She wanted Dr. Luke and all the baggage he brings; all four other songwriters on "Woman's World" are Dr. Luke collaborators or signees. For a better relationship with your body this summer, Campos recommends finding ways to connect with yourself in more enjoyable ways. “That is a connected moment where I can say, ‘This feels good in my body,’” Campos said. “When somebody’s having a hard body image day … I want them to check in about what else is going on,” she said. “You might feel better, but it doesn’t actually change anything in your body.

One by one, each country with the money and the drive to compete started its own nuclear weapons program. Even with this kind of evidence in hand, science has reached only limited conclusions about how nuclear weapons testing affects individuals’ health. They helped create the 2021 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, signed by 93 countries, which bans the possession, use and testing of nuclear weapons. France has acknowledged its “debt” to Polynesians over nuclear testing, and it created a commission in 2010 to evaluate nuclear testing victim compensation claims, but it has never apologized. We are still wrestling with the damage wrought by testing nuclear weapons in our past.

D-Day is more than the largest amphibious invasion in history. The US Navy now aims for enough amphibious capacity to land just two Marine brigades on a hostile shore. Universal History Archive/UIG via Getty ImagesIn World War II, the best way to stop an amphibious invasion was before the first troops stepped onto the beach. If the defender's navy and air force could destroy or turn back an invasion fleet, the landing would never take place. An enemy that has these can threaten the invasion armada and the landing force it launches as it chugs to the beach.

Platja d’Aro has a population of 12,500, but on summer weekends it can draw in around 150,000 visitors a day.
