A fabricated poster mimicking the branding of the Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) has resurfaced online appearing to list “sudden death” as a side effect of COVID-19 vaccines. The poster mimics the typography, style and graphics used in official posters printed by the HSE. “This is not an HSE poster, and the information included on the poster was not authorised or published by the HSE,” the spokesperson told Reuters. No such official poster was printed by the Irish health executive, a spokesperson for the HSE told Reuters. No such poster exists in an archive of public posters printed by the HSE and text reading “People of Ireland” on the fake poster differs from language on official HSE posters.
Kodye Elyse, a cosmetic tattoo artist, said she "really wasn’t on social media" before then so she barely had any followers. As social media usership increases — especially on video platforms like TikTok — the potential viewership of each video is limitless. Some allege that being so prominently featured on their parents’ social media accounts negatively impacted them. It’s taken a toll on their mental health and shaped how they navigate their own social media presence. They also use their account to advocate for better protections for children online.
Guillain-Barré syndrome, Bell’s palsy, acute flaccid myelitis and transverse myelitis are not polio “renamed”, despite claims posted online. It was NEVER eradicated, it's been renamed several times, Guillian Barre, Bells Palsy, Acute Flaccid Myelitis, Transverse Myelitis... Any neurological disorder has been renamed polio.”A similar post can be found here. Though primarily seen following an acute infection, GBS can also be a rare side effect of vaccination (here). Four medical syndromes with symptoms that can include muscle weakness and paralysis are not “polio renamed”, as claimed on social media. Poliovirus infection, while extremely rare, can lead to some of these syndromes, but the syndromes themselves also have other, more common causes and distinct symptoms.
