With tension climbing again, the Lebanese authorities issued precautionary guidance for evacuating the airport and surrounding installations in case of emergency.
Israel's military said on Saturday it had "thwarted a surface-to-air missile that was fired from Lebanon" towards an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
It also said one its drones had hit a "terrorist cell" in Lebanon which had tried to launch an anti-tank missile at Israel.
Sources have previously said Hezbollah's attacks on Israel were designed to keep Israel's army occupied without provoking a major war.
Israel has said it has no interest in waging war and that if Hezbollah is restrained it will maintain the status quo.
