We've made Thanksgiving dinner for decades. We'd never considered ordering our holiday meal from a restaurant, but last year, we decided to try Cracker Barrel's "heat n' serve" family dinner . For $130, I ordered a turkey-breast dinner designed to serve four to six people (plus a few extras) to pick up the morning before Thanksgiving. Masino said Cracker Barrel's improvement plan centers around location remodels, reworked menus and improved technology for its loyalty program and to-go business. According to Masino, Cracker Barrel will start serving some of the new dishes across the company in early August. But Masino isn't aiming to change everything about Cracker Barrel. In the name of research, I tried all seven premium sides available at my local Cracker Barrel. Although I liked most of the "loaded" options, the loaded sweet potato was my favorite.
