JPMorgan Chase, the nation’s largest credit card issuer, will bar customers from using its credit cards to repay increasingly popular “buy now, pay later” installment loans. Chase said in an emailed statement that buy now, pay later installment loans “are a form of credit” and that the bank did “not generally allow customers to pay for credit products” with their Chase credit cards. Chase has been alerting customers about the change, which takes effect on Oct. 10, and telling them to link a new form of payment to the pay later accounts to avoid missed payments and possible late fees. Chase is not the first credit card issuer to make the move. Capital One, the fourth-largest card issuer, barred use of its credit cards for pay later loans in late 2020.

He went to Tennessee Lottery’s district office in Nashville on July 16 to cash the seven-figure winning ticket, according to court documents. But lottery employees became suspicious after analyzing Mr. Patel’s identification and hearing his story about finding the ticket in the trash, court documents said. The lottery employees then asked police to review video from the Shell station in Murfreesboro where the ticket was bought, the local station WSMV reported. “He knew it was a winning ticket,” Lt. Steve Craig of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said in an interview on Wednesday.

They were back in their car and pulling out of the airport when they got a frantic call: Delta Air Lines wouldn’t let Asher check in because he didn’t have a parent accompanying him on the flight. Darling said. Asher had flown by himself on several occasions, he said, and “we were never notified about this.”Delta has been the slowest U.S. airline to restore its operations, canceling over 1,000 flights each day from Friday to Monday. Another 400 had been canceled as of 7 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the flight tracking website FlightAware.
