I am minutes away from the ocean and one of my favorite restaurants on the island. This spring, I made the leap and moved with my two youngest kids to Negril, Jamaica. Overall, I feel like I have a better chance of longevity here. To me, the food in Jamaica tastes different from the food in the U.S. I knew only about four of my neighbors on the street and I lived in that house for seven years.

Place de la Concorde, Paris CNN —Triumph and tragedy are everywhere you look at the Olympics, and the men’s BMX park final on Wednesday had a surfeit of both. Martin crashed on both of his runs, his title defense wilting in the Paris heat, while Jeanjean recovered superbly on his second run to take a hard-earned bronze medal. As for the triumph, take José Torres Gil, the Argentinian rider who won his country’s first individual gold medal in a cycling discipline with a stunning initial score of 94.82. Great Britain’s Keiran Reilly took silver after packing trick after trick into his second run, hauling himself above Jeanjean with the final act of the competition. “It’s not easy at all when you’ve been training day-in, day-out for a year and you fall on the first trick, the first run,” Jeanjean said.

CNN —A day after winning a sixth all-around title to become the most decorated gymnast in history, Simone Biles added to her extraordinary medal collection with a silver in the vault at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Saturday. Needing to regain her composure immediately for her second vault, Biles went on to score an impressive 14.666 for an average score of 14.549. Kaylia Nemour of Algeria won silver, while the USA’s Shilese Jones took bronze. On Friday, Biles surpassed Belarusian Vitaly Scherbo’s record of 33 overall medals across both the Olympics and the world championships with a record sixth all-around gold. Biles has now earned 28 career medals (21 gold, four silver, three bronze) at the world championships, which is an all-time record.

Biles stepped up to the vault, launched high into the air, twisting in angular blue blur, and landed with just a single backwards step to make history. That feat ensured the skill will now be named the Biles II in honor of the 19-time world champion, making it her fifth named element. Biles was competing in her first event on the world stage since the Tokyo Olympics. And by competing in Antwerp, Biles became the first woman to represent the US at six artistic world championships. Meanwhile, the US men’s gymnastics team secured its spot in the team competition at next year’s Olympic Games in Paris by qualifying for the team final in second place behind Japan.

It's nesting season in Australia and people are on high alert for vicious swooping Australian magpies. While Australian magpies aren't closely related to their European counterpart, they are also known to be extremely clever. In 2019, I tried to do a backflip. Since I’m not a gymnast, it was difficult to imagine being able to perform such a miraculous trick. But eventually, the fear seemed to slowly fade and turn into confidence. I jumped leaning too far backward and stubbed my toe. The fear was back, and I imagined that with every other jump, I might break something.

The Marzetts' financing strategyAfter their first flipping experience, the Marzetts decided to continue down the path of house flipping. Hard money lenders are a good option for some because they're easier to obtain a loan from than a bank. One example of how the Marzetts have used a hard money lender is in a house they're currently flipping in Texas. For the remaining cost of the house (around $220,000), they borrowed from the hard money lender, plus another $75,000 for renovation costs. That means they can expect to profit between $80,000-$110,000, depending on final renovation costs.

As one of the co-hosts, this year’s Women’s World Cup was supposed to be the culmination of all this change; a celebration of Australia’s most beloved team. A shaky 1-0 win against Ireland kicked off the Matildas’ tournament before disaster struck once more and they succumbed to a shock 3-2 defeat against Nigeria. That 2015 run marked the Matildas’ best World Cup performance to date, after appearing in every edition since 1995. The assembled 75,784 fans represented a record crowd for a women’s soccer match in the country and the highest attendance at a Women’s World Cup for 24 years, according to FIFA. “It’s definitely transcended the traditional women’s community and so that’s really exciting.”Australia has played its part in making this the biggest Women’s World Cup in history.

What began as a 12-team tournament in 1991, the Women's World Cup has steadily grown in stature and expanded to 32 teams - the same as the men's tournament. New Zealand kick things off in Auckland against former champions Norway while Australia host Ireland, with both matches set to welcome more than 100,000 fans in total. "It will set the tone for a Women's World Cup that I expect to become a watershed moment in global women's sports," FIFA Chief Women's Football Officer Sarai Bareman said. The pressure is on New Zealand, however, not just as co-hosts but also because they have never won a match at the World Cup in five prior appearances.

CNN —Chelsea won its third consecutive Women’s FA Cup in front of a record crowd at Wembley, triumphing 1-0 over Manchester United in the final thanks to a well-taken Sam Kerr goal in the 68th minute. But, ultimately, this was a day for Chelsea and Kerr who held on to win the FA Cup final in front of a record 77,390 fans at a sun-dappled Wembley. “Everyone stuck at it and we got the win.”It was a historic match in so many ways – the first time a women’s FA Cup match had sold out at Wembley, the first time Manchester United had reached the women’s FA Cup final, a world record crowd for a women’s domestic match, and the first time the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) was used in this competition. VAR came into play almost immediately as Leah Galton found the back of the net after just 20 seconds following a sweeping Manchester United attack, but her effort was ruled out for offside. United was appearing in its first major cup final.

The other kind of search — "exploratory search" — is the hard one. That's where you don't know what you don't know. When you're scrolling through the links in a Google search, looking for "esoteric shit," as one search expert calls it, you see some pages that just look dodgy, maybe in ways you can't even totally articulate. But search chatbots can fake all that. Google's search pages already aren't fully trustworthy — they overindex YouTube video results, for example, because YouTube is a subsidiary of Google.

As the self-described "first non-engineer hire" to join Cryptovoxels, Robinson was brought on to fix these kinds of user nuisances. As part of the next rollout of features, Robinson tells me that Cryptovoxels will allow users to sell custom dances. According to Robinson, users can make money in other ways, like selling mini-game scripts and renting land for events like dances or NFT collection releases. For some reason, the Cryptovoxels world is also abundant with shrines, like the ancient Greece-inspired Frenetik Temple and the Jedi-themed Dark Junction. It's reminiscent of attending a presentation in the real world, except instead of pinning name tags to our shirts, they're superimposed over our heads in large white letters.
