Trailing 14-10 in the second quarter, the Browns offense was marching down the field, getting to within field goal range. Winston quickly made up for the interception, guiding the Browns offense 70 yards down the field, ending with a four-yard touchdown pass to tight end David Njoku. The Heisman Trophy, awarded to the most outstanding player in college football, has been dominated by quarterbacks in recent years, with QBs claiming the trophy in 12 of the last 15 seasons. Hunter caught three touchdowns against Oklahoma State and totaled 116 yards, his seventh game of the season with at least 100 yards. CNN —President-elect Donald Trump on Friday named former NFL player and White House official Scott Turner to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development. If confirmed by the Senate, Turner would lead an agency that enforces fair housing laws, administers mortgage insurance to prospective homeowners and gives rental subsidies to lower-income families, among other things. In 2019, Turner traveled with former HUD Secretary Ben Carson touting the program. After leaving the league, Turner mounted an unsuccessful run for California 50th Congressional District in 2006. He was elected to the Texas House in 2012 and finished out his term in 2017 after losing a bid for the state House speakership.

The U.S. auto safety regulator has opened two new probes into potential defects related to Ford vehicles. ODI said it had received three complaints about the retractors in model year 2019-2020 Ford Expeditions. "The complaints allege hearing a loud sound immediately followed by the seat belt rapidly tightening," the release states. ODI says Ford already issued a recall related to this issue, but that the Expeditions, as well as potential issues affecting model year 2018-2019 Lincoln Navigator vehicles, were not included in it. A spokesman for Ford said in an email the company was working with NHTSA to support its investigations.
