Machine guns come in three types: we have light machine guns that chamber intermediate rounds and maximize weight savings; medium machine guns that offer more power with full-powered rifle rounds; and heavy machine guns that might weigh more than 100 pounds but provide light armor and barrier destruction as well as a longer range. SOCOM's new machine guns blend the medium and heavy machine gun types to create something novel. This new weapon seems ready to supplement or even replace the M2 heavy machine gun. This led to a demand for a gun that offers the range of a heavy machine gun with respectable power but without the weight. To put it simply, they want a weapon that weighs less than a medium machine gun but has the range of a heavy machine gun.

June 14 (Reuters) - A group of 17 music publishers sued Twitter in Nashville, Tennessee, federal court on Wednesday, accusing the company of enabling thousands of copyright violations by allowing users to post music without a license. Twitter drives user engagement with "countless infringing copies of musical compositions," the lawsuit said. Members of the National Music Publishers' Association, including Sony Music Publishing (6758.T), BMG Rights Management and Universal Music Publishing Group (UMG.AS), are seeking more than $250 million in damages for alleged infringement of nearly 1,700 copyrights. Twitter "routinely ignores" repeat infringement by users who post tweets that contain unlicensed music, the lawsuit said. The publishers said Twitter encourages user infringement, which increases engagement and ad revenues while giving it an "unfair advantage" over platforms that pay for music licenses.

DREAMSTAGE, a ticketed live music streaming platform launched in the spring of 2020, has plans to reverse this fate and to even go as far as transforming the traditional live music business model for years to come. Now, the startup has caught the attention of the Paris-based music streaming service Deezer, which houses a catalog of 73 million tracks, including content from major record labels like Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. "Even when live concerts start again, live streaming will become a natural addition to live shows," Albrecht wrote. The live music streaming industry is expected to generate $6.4 billion by 2027, according to MIDiA Research.
