A person claiming to be an Al Jazeera journalist on social media, who said Hamas was responsible for a deadly explosion at a Gaza hospital, is not affiliated with Al Jazeera, the news outlet told Reuters. “Even Al Jazeera journalist acknowledges that the rocket that hit the Gazan hospital came from inside Gaza,” said one X account sharing the post. Al Jazeera also said on X: “The X / Twitter account @_Faridakhan falsely claims Al Jazeera affiliation. Reuters did not find any bylines attributed to Farida Khan on the Al Jazeera website.
