Frontier Airlines' annual all-you-can-fly flight pass called "GoWild!" The "unlimited" flight pass has its limitationsOne of the biggest concerns about GoWild is actually getting anywhere at all. Finding GoWild seats is a lot of tedious guess-and-checkThe process of searching and booking GoWild seats is a cumbersome task. While I had a good experience, there are still a lot of limitations to the "unlimited" flight pass, and the costs can add up. Business impact of DEIInstead of eliminating DEI policies, corporate America is changing its language. And that’s likely because DEI policies, fundamentally, make money. “We hear that most companies continue with DEI programs. “There is a widely held belief that DEI programs are valuable.”Responding to pressureStarbuck is riding a wave of right-wing hostility to DEI programs and corporate advocacy on issues like climate change and LGBTQ rights. But most of the companies that recently altered their DEI policies in the face of Starbuck’s pressure are making performative tweaks.

For investors anxious about the market's stretched valuation, Wells Fargo said there is no bubble forming. CNN —The US has moved a detainee of the military prison at Guantanamo Bay to Kenya, marking the first detainee transfer in more than a year. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin notified Congress about his intent to transfer Bajabu to Kenya in November. The last detainee transfer occurred in April 2023, when a 72-year-old al Qaeda associate was transferred to Algeria after more than 20 years of detention at Guantanamo. According to the Pentagon’s release, 29 detainees remain at the military prison — 15 of whom are eligible to be transferred out. “The United States may transport additional detainees to US Naval Station Guantanamo Bay when lawful and necessary to protect the Nation,” the order said.

Hegseth’s book is an odd mix of slogans and unsupported assertions about the purportedly “Marxist” and “woke” US military. CNN asked the Trump transition for comment on the claims made in Hegseth’s book. In his book, Hegseth is very exercised about the role of women in combat because he says women are less effective fighters. There could also be a battle over the question of “Who lost Afghanistan?” — which Hegseth squarely blames the generals for. In his book, Hegseth is silent on the big issues that a future secretary of defense might have to face, such as the Chinese possibly invading Taiwan.

DAMASCUS, Syria — For more than a decade, Syria was synonymous with war, brutality and the family dynasty visiting this violence on its own people. It was only on Sunday that President Bashar al-Assad fled the country as rebels entered Damascus. Syrians have since torn down statues of Assad and ripped back the veil from his murderous regime. Meanwhile, questions hang over Syria’s future, guided by a former Al Qaeda offshoot that says it has moderated. But for the time being at least, the primary emotion for many in Syria is one of disbelieving joy.

Travis Timmerman, the missing Missouri man who was unexpectedly found in Syria after he said he crossed into the country to make a "pilgrimage," was flown out by the U.S. military to Jordan, two U.S. defense officials and his family said Friday. Family said they had gone several months without any contact from Timmerman, 29, and then saw him in media coverage Thursday after video emerged from Syria leading some to misidentify him as missing American journalist Austin Tice, 43. Timmerman was flown out of Syria via a U.S. military helicopter. Timmerman told news outlets he had been imprisoned after he had "been reading the scripture a lot" before deciding to cross the mountains from Lebanon into Syria.
