In the US Air Force, there are fewer than 100 active members of the special-operations security force known as DAGRE, or Deployed Aircraft Ground Response Element.
These specially trained airmen work in tandem with teams from the Army Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and more to provide security for VIPs, conduct airfield surveys, and apprehend oppositional forces that pose a threat.
Insider observed a DAGRE training exercise at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico, to see how these air commandos are taught to keep hostile environments safe.
