The Scandinavian nation already restricts social media more than most, with a ban for under-13s. The Norwegian prime minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, told the Norwegian tabloid VG that new regulation would indeed be "an uphill battle." The Norwegian Media Authority in August estimated that 53% of nine-year-olds, 58% of 10-year-olds, and 72% of 11-year-olds use social media. Anglero said it's common for Oslo families to use social media, whether to coordinate children's sports teams or just to chat.

☆ Haitian prime minister has arrived in Puerto Rico amid turmoil in Haiti, local official says

CNN —A plane carrying Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry landed in Puerto Rico on Tuesday, its governor’s spokesperson told CNN, after days of speculation about his whereabouts as Haitian capital Port-au-Prince plunged into crisis over the weekend. Since last week, Port-au-Prince has been gripped by a wave of highly coordinated gang attacks on law enforcement and state institutions. The prime minister’s last appearance in public was in Kenya on Friday, before arriving today in Puerto Rico, per Mojica. Haiti’s government declared a state of emergency on Sunday amid the spiraling violence in Port-au-Prince. “We fear we will run out of medicines and medical supplies, which are absolutely essential to meet the enormous needs we are facing at the moment,” Haiti MSF head Mumuza Muhindo Musubah said in a statement.

Public schools with no air conditioning or whose cooling systems are inoperable due to power outages blamed on a hurricane-battered electric grid are seeking relief, but it’s unlikely they’ll find it soon. Pedro Pierluisi quietly vetoed a bill that called for air conditioning systems for public schools. But air conditioning remains rare at public schools, which depend on fans and trade winds that blow through windows with metal shutters. It's unknown how many public schools lack air conditioning or have air conditioners that don't work because of electrical problems. More than 50% of public schools also have reported a heat-related emergency.
