The Democrats had been headed for a "landslide defeat" in November, but now, they stand a chance, said Ian Bremmer, President and Founder of Eurasia Group. "They've turned [this race] around, and President Biden has given the Democrats a fighting chance," he told CNBC's "Squawk Box Asia" on Monday. How Harris helps DemocratsAccording to experts that spoke to CNBC, Harris comes with a number of advantages in comparison to her former running mate. A recent poll showed that some 85% of the population believed Biden was too old to serve another four years. However, according to Myers, the race has been thrown into "complete disarray" with Harris set to give Trump a "real run for his money."

Anadolu | Anadolu | Getty ImagesThe "Trump trade" could unwind after President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential election, throwing his weight behind Vice President Kamala Harris. The Trump trade refers to plays on stocks that are expected to benefit if the former president returns to the White House. CNBC previously reported that Wall Street sees a Trump win as good for stocks as the Republican candidate has called for lower taxes and deregulation. The strategist predicted the U.S. dollar would soften as some of the "Trump trade" unwinds, adding that he believes the prospect of a Democratic victory has marginally increased. Roche said, however, that a Harris nomination increases the chance of a Trump win, but lowers the odds of the Republicans winning both houses of Congress.

Read previewAdministered ketamine is being used in concert with therapy to treat Ukrainian veterans who experience post-traumatic stress disorder from fighting on the battlefield. AdvertisementA study published earlier this year focused on the treatment of depression among veterans using ketamine taken through an IV. The doses provided at least partial relief to many of the test subjects and after six weeks of ketamine infusions, depression scores dropped significantly. "Soldiers, for them, it's natural to consider themselves like a strong man," Matrenitsky said, explaining that the effects of the ketamine therapy allow individuals to overcome defensive barriers over their emotions. In partnership with Heal Ukraine Trauma, Matrenitsky along with other healthcare professionals have teamed up to form the Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy initiative in hopes of educating Ukrainian therapists on Ketamine-Assisted Therapy.

The reality, however, was much more mundane: a botched software update from the cybersecurity company CrowdStrike. In 2022, Delta Air Lines offered passengers $10,000 cash to take a different flight after overselling a flight from Michigan to Minnesota amid the summer's post-pandemic travel chaos. DOT rules entitle passengers to hundreds of dollars in compensation if they are involuntarily bumped from a flight, under certain terms and conditions. How to lower the odds of getting bumped from a flightThere's nothing you can do to guarantee you won't get bumped from an overbooked flight, as one traveler who said he was bumped off an American Airlines flight learned the hard way. According to the DOT's 2023 consumer air travel data, Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines, and Hawaiian Airlines involuntarily bumped 0, 3, and 5 people, respectively, over the entire year. On the other end of the spectrum, American Airlines and Frontier Airlines involuntarily bumped over 10,000 passengers each in 2023.

The officer — a father of three who's in his 40s, and a right-leaning voter — said the polarization in French society was "very worrying, but unfortunately normal with the 'diversity' of our society." The police officer said he expected civil unrest after the vote, whichever party gained the most votes.
