CNN —The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and a senior Hamas official, accusing them of war crimes during and after the October 7 attacks on Israel last year. While ICC warrants don’t guarantee arrests, they could significantly restrict Netanyahu’s ability to travel to ICC member states. The prime minister said at the time that “trust between me and the minister of defense has cracked.” Katz, who served as foreign minister until then, became defense minister. After an arrest warrant has been issued, the ICC sends requests for cooperation to member states. Previous leaders who have been faced with ICC arrest warrants have experienced limitations on their ability to travel, unable to pass through countries legally obliged to arrest them.

A Florida man arrested on suspicion of weapons violations on Halloween had a list of targets that included a congressman and locations he associated with Jewish and Black people, prosecutors allege. The Federal Public Defender of South Florida did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A customary walk-through of the home turned up evidence of firearms, including spent shell casings and a homemade target, Anton said. The alleged list of targets includes Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., as well as locations the writer of the list characterized as draws for Jewish and Black people — a synagogue, a Jewish cemetery, a Jewish sandwich shop and parks and schools that were described using a derogatory term for Black people, according to Anton's filing. One entry on the list said, "Stalk Jewish parks," the proffer said.

Back in late September, I laid out a bearish thesis on Apple and the trade expired last Friday and resulted in a 100% gain. Apple (AAPL) continues to face significant headwinds, with disappointing iPhone 16 sales, growing competition in augmented reality, and underwhelming progress in artificial intelligence (AI). China's slowing economy has weighed heavily on Apple, exacerbating challenges in one of its largest markets. While Apple boasts industry-leading net margins of 24%, its expected EPS growth of 11.6% and revenue growth of 6.9% provide limited justification for this valuation premium. With iPhone sales growth faltering and the lack of a clear catalyst from AI or AR/VR initiatives, AAPL's premium valuation remains increasingly difficult to sustain.

WASHINGTON — An ex-Army soldier who was previously court-martialed for shooting a handcuffed Iraqi civilian was sentenced to over four years in federal prison on Monday for assaulting officers during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Richmond was sentenced to 51 months in federal prison after he pleaded guilty earlier this year to a felony count of assaulting, resisting or impeding an officer with a deadly weapon. Both the prosecution and defense agreed that Richmond's sentencing guidelines were between 51 and 63 months in federal prison. Another Jan. 6 rioter, Christopher Maurer, was sentenced to 50 months in prison on Monday after pleading guilty earlier this year to assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers with a deadly or dangerous weapon. Apple is exploring new headsets and smart-home devices to expand its lineup. Its plans don't always work out; it scrapped a car project and faces weak demand for the Vision Pro. The company in February scrapped plans for a car, and its $3,500 Vision Pro has gotten mixed reviews in the months since its release. Bloomberg on Tuesday reported on a wall-mounted smart-home tablet in Apple's production lineup that could operate home appliances, use Apple Intelligence, and access Apple apps. Since Otto Schott invented specialty glass in 1884, the simple material has become a cornerstone of modern technology, and driving innovation. From semiconductors to clean energy, home tech, and electric vehicles, glass is the silent enabler of progress. Specially engineered laser glass helped researchers achieve what was once thought impossible: creating more energy from a reaction than was put into it. The light, amplified by active laser glass and focused through precisely crafted optical glass, delivered significant energy to a tiny fuel pellet, triggering a fusion reaction that produced a net energy gain. The fusion reaction generated 3.15 megajoules of energy, exceeding the 2.05 megajoules of laser energy delivered to the target.
