Russia has increasingly fired glide bombs at Ukrainian territory in its invasion of the country. AdvertisementBut Russia has not been using the bombs at the same scale against Ukrainian forces that crossed the border into Russia earlier this month. Russia used 750 glide bombs on Ukrainian cities and villages last week alone, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Sunday. It's also fewer than the 50 glide bombs Russia has reportedly been firing daily into Ukraine's Sumy region, which neighbors Kursk. But these were relatively isolated incidents rather than something that was happening as a result of a new strategy, such as using glide bombs in Kursk.

WASHINGTON – The director of America's top spy agency described Russia's war in Ukraine as a "grinding conflict" that will require the West to continue to provide security assistance packages in order for Kyiv to prevail. "It will be extremely important for Ukraine to receive essential military assistance and economic assistance moving forward in order for them to be able to continue to manage what they have been heroically doing," she added. The U.S. has contributed the lion's share of security assistance to the fight. The upcoming military assistance, the 30th such tranche, brings U.S. commitment to Ukraine's fight to more than $26 billion since the beginning of the Biden administration.

The video was apparently taken in the east of Ukraine, where heavy fighting is taking place.
