The new CDC report warns that flu, Covid and RSV can cause serious illness, particularly for people ages 65 and up and those with certain medical conditions. A second CDC report released Thursday found low vaccination coverage among residents of nursing homes.

A sharp drop in mortgage rates brought homebuyers off the fence in October after a slow summer. Sales were 2.9% higher than October of last year, marking the first annual increase in more than three years. While mortgage rates remain elevated, they are expected to stabilize.”There were 1.37 million units for sale at the end of October, an increase of 19.1% from October 2023. Following the trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will own 750 shares of AVGO, increasing its weighting to about 3.50% from about 3.25%. We're nibbling on Broadcom shares, buying back the second half of the 100 shares we sold in June at a split-adjusted price of $181. Like most chip stocks excluding Nvidia, Broadcom has fallen from its recent highs.
