There should be no enduring mystery about what a Trump presidency means for Ukraine. Trump may appoint a cabinet that mildly adjusts the pace or tone of his instincts, but in the end he wants out. Washington CNN —Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday distanced herself from President Joe Biden’s comments that seemingly referred to Donald Trump’s supporters as “garbage,” setting off a political firestorm a week before Election Day. “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said, pausing for a moment before continuing. Harris’ campaign was quick to try to publicly defend or explain those remarks publicly. As CNN has reported, there had been growing wariness among Harris campaign aides about Biden’s propensity for gaffes, at a moment when the campaign does not want to take any unnecessary political risks. Tuesday night’s “garbage” comments from Biden only ended up confirming those existing concerns for many Democrats.

Vice President Kamala Harris is campaigning for president against Elon Musk at least as much as she is against former President Donald Trump, Mark Cuban said Monday, as he advocated for the Democratic nominee as the pro-business choice. "It's the Harris campaign versus Elon, not even versus Trump," the billionaire investor and former "Shark Tank" host said on CNBC's "Squawk Box." Cuban's remarks were the latest volley between the two billionaires, who have taken on increasingly prominent campaign roles while ramping up attacks against each other. Asked for his view on the latest polls, which broadly show a neck-and-neck race between Harris and Trump, Cuban said, "Nobody really knows, and so really it comes down to get out the vote." "And the crazy thing is, it's the Harris campaign versus Elon, not even versus Trump," said Cuban.

HAVANA — The electricity went out Friday in Cuba, affecting the entire island's population of 10 million after one of its main power plants failed, according to Cuba’s energy ministry. But it wasn’t enough, and by 11 a.m. the largest power plant went offline, causing a grid failure. In some provinces outside the capital, Havana, many people have been facing power outages that last up to 12 hours at a time. Cuba’s ally and main oil supplier, Venezuela, has decreased the amount of shipments it sends to the island. Oil shipments from other countries, like Russia and Mexico, have also been greatly diminished.

Since she jumped into the race, Harris has been trying to attract men to support her, but Trump continues to perform better among male voters. The anxiety abated for a bit when Vice President Kamala Harris replaced him on the ticket and her poll numbers spiked. With Harris' numbers stagnant now for weeks, many Democrats are once again fretting that the election is slipping away and that Donald Trump may yet regain power. Harris appears to be OK with the collective jitters, recognizing that if Democrats fear they might lose, they're more apt to show up at the polls and help her win. Polling shows that neither Harris nor Trump has built a lead outside the margin of error. Claims that Harris is an underdog amount to “a liberal plot to get us overconfident on the Trump side,” he added.
