CNN —Lost for centuries, two cities lay buried, nearly 5 kilometers (3 miles) apart, underneath grassy pastures in the mountains of Uzbekistan. “It’s a really different environment up there,” Frachetti said of the newly discovered Silk Road settlements. However, the newfound highland cities were too big to simply be trading posts or Silk Road stopovers, Frachetti and his colleagues believe. The research marked the first time that light detection and ranging (LiDAR) equipment had been used in the region for archaeological purposes. Using drone-borne light detection and ranging equipment, archaeologists have mapped two abandoned cities in the mountains of Uzbekistan.

Now, the United Auto Workers has dealt a serious blow to that model: winning a landslide union victory after decades of failing to unionize automakers in the South. It’s the UAW’s first win in trying to represent workers at a foreign car manufacturing plant in the South. Before Friday’s win, the highest profile union election held in the South in recent years was the attempt to organize Amazon warehouse workers in Alabama in 2022. Bill Lee in 2019 visited Volkswagen’s plant in Chattanooga to encourage workers to reject the union, and former South Carolina Gov. But the Volkswagen win, said UAW President Shawn Fain to CNN, shows that politics are not an insurmountable obstacle when it comes to organizing in the South.

Liceul Mihai Sadoveanu din s. Giurgiulești, raionul Cahul, este instituție de învățământ cu profil sportiv, iar absolvenții își continuă studiile la instituțiile superioare de profil sportiv din țară și peste hotare. Am dotat vestiarele școlare cu dulapuri și am instalat un teren sportiv pentru desfășurarea orelor de sport și a antrenamentelor. Cu suportul Primăriei s-au realizat lucrările de reparație iar dotarea din proiectul GAL. Precizăm că acesta nu este unicul proiect implementat de către Liceul „Mihai Sadoveanu” din s. Giurgiulești, raionul Cahul. Cahul „2030” este beneficiara Programului de Granturi Locale al Uniunii Europene și implementează proiectul „Ce înseamnă Uniunea Europeană pentru Raionul Cahul”.
