According to Circana, Swift’s “Eras Tour Book” sold 814,000 copies over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Swift also brought the three-hour “Eras Tour” concert film to movie theaters independently. Even some Swifties took issue with the book release — dubbing it “The Errors Tour Book” — after they spotted an abundance of grammar mistakes, typos, graphic design mishaps and blurry or low-quality photos. With her “Eras Tour Book” in hand, she asked, “If you’re paying $40 for a book, wouldn’t you expect it to not have this many errors?”Neither Target nor Swift’s team responded to requests for comment. The book is also “the highest-selling book in the Music category since Circana began tracking 20 years ago,” according to the press release.

New York CNN —Target is lowering the price of its Thanksgiving meal bundle, adding to the roughly 8,000 products that have been discounted as it attempts to attract inflation-weary shoppers during the holiday season. Target is the latest major retailer to chop the price of its Thanksgiving meal bundle, joining Aldi and Walmart in a holiday price war. Sam’s Club last week announced a Member’s Mark Thanksgiving meal, which feeds up to 10 people for under $100, made up of the warehouse club’s private label products and is delivered already cooked. Food price inflation has moderated substantially during the past year, Consumer Price Index data shows. Gomez said Target customers are buying in bulk to save money, or purchasing smaller items that have cheaper prices compared to their full-sized counterpart.

Target is lowering prices on more than 2,000 items across an array of categories in a bid to offer more discounts to cash-strapped customers as the holiday season approaches. Both Target and Walmart have also sought to lean in to more store-brand offerings as a means of offering discounts. The most recent official retail sales data showed ongoing strength in consumer spending, while the pace of 12-month inflation continues to approach the Federal Reserve's official 2% target. However, research from a new Federal Reserve paper suggests lower-income households continue to struggle financially, something reflected in a lower pace of retail sales growth for that cohort. Target recently announced it was hiring 100,000 seasonal workers for the holidays — in line with the previous three years.
