Nebraska’s Dan Osborn is returning to work Tuesday as a steamfitter after his unsuccessful Senate run, but his political career isn’t over. Osborn, who ran as an independent, is launching a political action committee, called the Working Class Heroes Fund, to support working-class candidates of all parties. And he isn’t ruling out another run for office after his loss to GOP Sen. Deb Fischer. Osborn said his PAC will support candidates of any party, and he said he didn’t expect to have many policy litmus tests, apart from supporting campaign finance overhaul and rejecting corporate donations. His Senate campaign raised $7.9 million through mid-October, according to the latest campaign finance reports, and he said it ultimately raised more than $14 million.

The long-lost worm is Haplosyllis anthogorgicola, a species of bristle worm, or polychaete. But as Forreau was sorting her underwater photos of seahorses and corals, she made another unexpected discovery: The worms’ coral burrows were visible in the images. Perhaps, she thought, that might also be the case in other photos of pygmy seahorses. Images of pygmy seahorses taken by scuba divers were crawling with worm photobombs. Worms’ limbs, heads and tails poked out of coral burrows in the hundreds; the scientists even counted seven examples of worms crawling on seahorses’ bodies.

And they are long-shot races, especially during a presidential election, when ticket-splitting isn’t as common as it used to be. CNN —Police in the Caribbean are investigating the disappearance of an American couple after escaped inmates in Grenada allegedly hijacked their yacht. The Virginia couple, identified by their sailing club as Kathy Brandel and Ralph Hendry, were living out a long-held dream of cruising the Caribbean in their sailing yacht, Simplicity. “The boat itself was ransacked and everything was strewn about in the entire cabin, so clearly there was an altercation of some type that took place on the boat,” Buro told CNN Sunday. The person also contacted the coast guard, who notified St. Vincent police, the association said. Grenada police said the escapees were recaptured the same day by the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

The pair have been identified by their sailing club as Kathy Brandel and Ralph Hendry, a couple from Virginia who were spending the winter cruising the Eastern Caribbean after sailing their yacht, Simplicity, from Hampton, Virginia, to Antigua. “Kathy Brandel and Ralph Hendry are veteran cruisers and long-time members of the Salty Dawg Sailing Association from its earliest days. According to the Salty Dawg Sailing Association, the club’s executive director was contacted after a passing “good Samaritan” came across an abandoned yacht and found the club’s contact information. “The good Samaritan had boarded the boat and noted that the owners, Ralph Hendry and Kathy Brandel, were not onboard and found evidence of apparent violence. Contact information for the SDSA was posted and the skipper contacted the Association.” The sailing association said the skipper also contacted the coast guard, who notified St. Vincent police.
