CNN —Jay Leno and his wife Mavis were full of smiles Tuesday as they supported some of Leno’s comedic colleagues. The couple attended the Los Angeles red carpet premiere for “Unfrosted,” a comedy about the origin of Pop-Tarts, which is the directorial debut of comedian Jerry Seinfeld. Leno, who recently celebrated his 74th birthday, has been granted conservertorship over his wife’s estate as she lives with advanced dementia. “I am so sick of these hard hitting controversial documentaries,” Leno joked to Seinfeld as his wife Mavis Leno laughed. “Can’t somebody just make a comedy anymore?”Seinfeld noted that he and Leno have been friends since 1978 and Leno said he was “very proud” of Seinfeld.

Jay Leno is reportedly recovering from a motorcycle accident last week that left him with several broken bones just months after he sustained serious burns in a fire that broke out in his Los Angeles garage. “But I’m OK!” Leno, 72, reportedly told the outlet. “I’m OK, I’m working. I’m working this weekend.”The former “Tonight Show” host said he had been working on a vintage motorcycle and was testing the vehicle out when he noticed the smell of leaking gas. The comedian reportedly said he hadn't discussed the motorcycle accident publicly yet due to the overwhelming coverage of his recovery from his burn injuries sustained in November.

CNN —Jay Leno has opened up for the first time about the accident that left him with severe burns to his face and body. In an interview with Hoda Kotb from “Today,” his first since the November 12 incident, the comedian, 72, said he was working underneath an antique 1907 car alongside his friend Dave Killackey when a series of events led to his injuries. It sounded clogged and I said, ‘Blow some air through the line,’ and so he did,” Leno, an avid car collector, recalled to Kotb. According to NBC, Leno joked to reporters outside the venue, “We got two shows tonight. Regular and extra crispy.”This week’s interview will appear on NBC News’ “Today” show on Wednesday.
