Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Monday pressed for Republicans to join Democrats in voting to advance the IVF bill. Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon objected, and instead urged their colleagues to support Democrats’ bill during Tuesday’s vote. Another Senate GOP bill aimed at addressing concerns about IVF was introduced earlier this year. On Tuesday, Democratic Sen. Patty Murray blocked a uninamous consent request to pass Britt and Cruz’s IVF bill, ahead of the vote on the Democrats’ broader IVF package. “Our bill is the only bill that protects IVF access while safeguarding religious liberty,” Britt said.

GOP senators 'hesitant' to mandate IVF coverageBut there is scant evidence of a Republican appetite for that plan in Congress. “I don’t know that we need to go so far as to mandate IVF coverage,” Lummis said. Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., a former chair of the conservative Republican Study Committee and a Senate candidate, said he hasn’t seen a Trump policy plan on IVF to evaluate. “I don’t know what that would look like — to make it free.”Democrats say Trump is lying and trying to bamboozle voters. “Donald Trump will say anything that he thinks might be one more vote in favor of Donald Trump.

Now the California-based startup is attempting to make asteroid mining a reality. That makes AstroForge the only company with a refinery that can turn M-type asteroids into PGMs in space, he adds. Some in the scientific community are skeptical that the private sector will be able to afford asteroid mining. Its all-or-nothing, lower-cost approach may help push asteroid mining closer to reality. “I hope if nothing else,” Gialich says, “we’re known as a space company that went for it.”

They only want a photo — and that to me is not fair,” Karla Jacinto told CNN on Sunday. Jacinto told CNN that Mexican politicians took advantage of her by using her story for political purposes and that it’s happened again in the United States. But the story she seemed to describe didn’t take place during Biden’s time as president or vice president, nor did it happen in the United States. I traveled to the Del Rio sector of Texas, where I spoke to a woman who shared her story with me. She had been sex trafficked by the cartels starting at age 12. Jacinto Romero has shared her story publicly, including in a 2015 hearing on sex trafficking held by the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Global Human Rights. Along that journey, children, women, and men are being subjected to gut-wrenching, heartbreaking horrors in our own backyard,” spokesperson Sean Ross said.

CNN —A cosmic object in the shape of a glowing question mark has photobombed one of the latest images captured by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope — and scientists think they know what it might be. The two have been observed and studied by space and ground-based telescopes since the 1950s, but the highly sensitive Webb telescope allowed for the highest-resolution and most detailed image yet. NASA/ESA/CSA/Joseph DePasquale (STScI)The Webb telescope illuminates information about the origins of our universe, but the appearance of this mysterious object in the background of this image leaves more questions than answers. The cosmic question mark hasn’t been closely observed or studied, so scientists aren’t exactly sure about the object’s origins and makeup. The question mark shape could also be “indicative of a merger where these two galaxies are interacting gravitationally,” Britt said.
