Mayor Karen Bass refused to answer questions about the Los Angeles fires on Wednesday as a reporter pressed her about being out of town while fires burned out of control in her city.

“Have you nothing to say today?
Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today?” Blevis continued.
“Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today, who are dealing with this disaster?"
