Eden Espinosa, an original “Wicked” cast member who played Elphaba on Broadway over seven years and inspired some of the score’s famous riffs. Becoming Elphaba and GlindaKristin Chenoweth (left) and Idina Menzel originated the roles of Glinda and Elphaba on Broadway. It was Dearman's second time performing in the show — she played Glinda before returning as Elphaba. Some “Wicked” journeys are more winding: Espinosa played Elphaba on and off for seven years.
